Totals: Looks like a nice taper..a few weeks too early!
Swim: 7500
Bike: 2 hours (spin)=35-40 miles
run: 6 miles+ 45 min aquajog
full body weights
core 3x
Okay, I need refocusing:
Church camp for my kids this next week will allow me some extra time on the trails and in the gym.
Todd, the magnesium has done some good stuff and I do have more energy, and have been catching up on sleep, so I'm optimistic about that.
Pending what the xray results are (on monday) I am going to wrap my ankle and see what it allows me to do. If that works I will combine the aquajogging and minimal land running just so I don't lose the feel of the road. I will keep up my weights-primarily lower body to keep strength in my legs.
At this point in it all I'm just shooting for maintenance, not an increase in any endurance, speed or strength. My goal is to try and prevent backsliding. I'm no longer following my training plan, I'm listening to my body and doing what works for that given day. This week I will begin to create a more solid realistic race plan and practice with the numbers. I will also create a more solid nutrition plan.
I have thrown my original expectations out the window and my goal is to now FINISH this thing. Before I thought I had a shot at creating a goal time and achieving it. I want to just finish without any problems (you know, like real ones
) If that means I'm an 8 hour finisher-then okay-I'm still a finisher.
You all have been so supportive of me during my little pity party tyrade and I've appreciated it. I've also appreciated the swift kick in the booty. Please continue your support, this is a big deal for me and I feed off of your energy.
PS I hate chunky monkey-in fact I hate Ben and Jerry's ice cream! Its STARBUCKS MUD PIE man! Get it right!
