I know it sounds odd but no doctor has been able to give me an answer! Whenever I work out and sweat, I break out in hives. This has been an issue since I was very young. (13 or so, and I'm 23 now.)
I'm 5'8 and weight 155 so I don't feel I'm too overweight but I'm definitely not in shape. Walking up stairs winds me and I feel ashamed about it. I try to do cardio to lose the weight and gain some stamina but 10-15 minutes into it I have to stop due to the high amount of hives I have all over my stomach and back. This happens any time moisture touches my skin. Be it sweat, taking a shower, going to the pool, it doesn't matter. They aren't on any where other than my torso and back so I can easily conceal them (because it is pretty embarrassing at the pool to have the hives viewable) but they itch so badly and get progressively bigger the longer moisture is on my skin.
Its a huge deterrent on working out and losing weight. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any suggestions on how to overcome it or deal with it?
Any advice would be great =) Much appreciated!
