starting a routine

Hi,

so the summer is here again in Toronto, and its time to loose that winter spare tire. im kinda new to this so all advice is appreciated. i figure 15lbs and i will be back to where id like to be.


The plan, this pay cheque im planning on picking up a small free weight set and some good running shoes. from there daily running and weight training...... only down side, beaing new im not too sure what i can do with those weights that would give me the most benefit? also should i be running/training daily? thanks again for all the advice and tips.

Are you looking to become buff by lifting those weights?
You need to create a proper workout plan - most people do a full body workout (that is, they work all major muscle groups) three times a week, but there are a ton of other options. Check the body building forum for better advice.

You can definitely run or do any type of cardio daily. If you have a skip rope or a bike, those work wonders too.

just looking to tone up a bit before going and joining a gym.
is it possible to do a full body plan with just a set of free weights? ill go read up on the body building forum for some ideas.

as for my diet ill give you yesterday as an example:

6 am wake up/ 4 waffles with PB and honey
7 am subway to work 1 orange
12ish lunch break 2 ham and cheese sandwiches on whole weat, 1 banana 1 orange
5 pm home have a bowl or two of cereal
730 dinner, 4x beef taco with cheese, lettuce, sour cream, green pepper ,onions
10 muchies hit granonla bar


thats a basic day for me
