tips/advice 12 weeks

I am going on hol in 12 weeks. Im not at all overweight, id say im average but I do want to lose a lil bit of fat on my stomach and love handles.

I am 5ft 1 and weigh 9stone.. 126lbs.

Ive got a cardio dvd, with 30 min sessions on it. Would doing 30 mins a day without changing my diet help me lose a small amount just in time for my hol?

Please dont tell me to change my diet, I just havnt got the willpower! haha. I dont eat terribly, but not amazingly either.

At the moment I do zero exercise!

Hope you can give me any tips/advice.

Thanks. Jade

Depending on the intensity of the workout, you could lose 300 - 400 calories / day. This would allow you to lose up to 1 # in 10 days as long as you maintain your current eating. But, this would not last forever; eventually, your body would adapt and stop losing weight and become more frugal with fat.

From what I have read...those last few lbs are the most difficult to lose and diet plays about 90% of the factors in losing that kind of weight.

Not to be an ass, but either you want results or you don't. If you do, you have to change your diet up. Figure out your maintainence calories, and subtract 500 calories or so. Fill your calories with lean protein (fish, chicken, lean beef, lean pork, eggs, whey), LOTS of veggies, some fruit, and healthy fats (nuts, olive oil, fish oil, flax oil).

30 minutes of a cardio dvd prolly won't cut it. I suggest you find a way to do some kind of strength training, using compounds. Squats, deadlifts, lunges, rows, presses, dips, pullups.
