Fat free Cottage cheese is really good too. It is a good source of casein, so it will help keep your body from burning muscle mass at night. I usually have a cup a night along with some nuts if i have the calories left in the day.
I prefer double chocolate brownies with creme cheese! But, I usually eat whole wheat pita with peanut butter, and cottage cheese.
If I grab a homemade oat bar, and take a big scoop of cottage cheese, it will put me back to sleep.
the big element is whether you are trying to cut weight or whatever. I am not worried about number of calories, but I do worry abotu "quality" of calories. My greatest concern though is getting back to a peaceful sleep.
I think good quality rest is one of the best calorie burners there is, or at least it sets me up to burn.
