Ok, appaently I F***ed up my entire left arm and I didn't even do anything!!!!

I am so pissed off. On Saturday I went out hunting, all I did was hold a gun all day long. When I came back in the evening I couldn't lift my left arm, I just assumed it was tired or something. Well to take it safe, I didn't work out till today (Wednesday). I do my dumbell rows, everything normal... weighted situps.. normal... but then I do dumbell punches, right side's ok do my left side and I can barely do 40 lbs!!! I just dropped 15 lbs!!! that's 3-4 month's progress!!!

I figure ok, that's pretty sh*tty. Then I do my curls, and left side is even worse!!! I can only do 10 lbs!!! When I figen started last year I was at 20!!!

What do you suggest I do? Do I do real light on my left side? Not work it at all? Will it get better or am I basically staring all over again on that side?!!!???? I'm so pissed I can barely think striaght.

I'd get to a doc. Not being able to even support a weight that you were once able to lift is probably more than a sign of just fatigue. You could have developed a stress fracture or strain or worse, you might have a slipped, herniated, or ruptured disc. Or it could be something as simple as muscle trigger points which will require a "sports massage" session at a massage or physical therapist.

I dunno, I don't think it's a fracture or anything. The weird thing is that my arm doesn't hurt whatsoever. It's just incredibly weak. Like I have a hard time lifting my 1L water bottle to my mouth.

But that's what is so fustrating. If I was doing anything for this to hurt I would have stopped so nothing would happen, but nothing hurt at all, in fact, when I was hunting my arm only felt tired, never even a hint of pain.

That's not necessarily true, especially with a herniated disc, which can sometimes not show symptoms for days up to weeks depending on the swelling that may develop. If you are having trouble lifting a water bottle, you need to get in and see a doctor about this. Far better to be safe than risk serious permanent injury.

I wouldn't wait a week! I'm sure it's something simple, but weakness in one side of the body is also a symptom of a stroke!

I get painful tendinitis (all too often) but have never had an unexplained non-painful weakness.

Ok well im not so sure that it is something as serious as the things above but I would definately see my doctor without delay.

I have however experienced something similar to this when someone slept on my arm for a long period of time after a long period of drinking and you know what. I couldnt use it properly for days and it didnt hurt at all.
