Becoming All That You Ever Wanted To Be!
I would like to share with you some things that can help you in your quest to be all that you ever wanted to be! These are methods I use to help me. I want to pass them on that you too can use them, as a way to meet your goals and dreams. I have noticed there is a lot of younger people here. And if I knew back then, what I have learned over the years now, how different things could be now! As I was younger, I did some of these methods and didn't know at the time I was programming myself for success.
To be fit and in shape has a different meaning to many people. What we all like is going to be different. How and what we train for will be different! However, there still are some common things that will help us meet our goals and dreams!
I would believe, one of our goals and dreams is to become fit and in shape! To have an over all well being in health, fitness and life. To enjoy who we are to the best of our ability! Spiritually, Mentally,Physically, and Financially. Would you say this is a fair statement? All four of these do interlock with one another! Whether you want to believe this or not won't matter. It's how much of an overall well being do you want in life, that it will matter. It's all about the balance of all four of these principles (Spiritually, Mentally,Physically, and Financially) that will determine the level of well being you will have in life!
What I want to share here, I recognize as being some basic rules and methods to succeed in your quest to being all that you ever want to be! In life, fitness, business, or anything else you do! These principles and rules will help you!
Age, is not a factor here! It's not your age that matters! Age is a number you have in life to tell others how long you have been here! It's not how you started or when you started, however, it's how you finish that matters! Notice I said how you finish, not where you finish! There is reason for all of this. The choices you make today, will affect you tomorrow. Whether good or bad! Again, it's not your age! It's your ATTITUDE, that will make the difference! If a person would change their attitude, they could change their life!
It's believing in you and that you can! It's believing and having the attitude that you will! This is a very important concept! But not just believing, but acting it out! Saying it, that you can, saying that you will! All the time! That you are what it is you want to be! For example: When I was 25 years of age I was introduced to powerlifting. I knew nothing about the sport! I was about 110lbs or 112 lbs. I started going to a gym where the owner introduced me to the sport. He was a powerlifter. The gym had a powerlifting team. They needed a light powerhouse person to help aide on their team. He asked me if I had an interest on being on the team. That he would train me personally! He and the others where State and National level lifters. So from that day forward I would tell myself that I WAS the New York State Powerlifting Champion! Remind you, I knew nothing about the sport. This was a whole different type of lifting all together! As I trained in the gym, or as I ran the streets, I would be saying aloud, I am a Champion. I am the best there ever has been. The person who just past me in that car doesn't know this, but I am a State and National Champion! Maybe not today, however I am on my way!!! Out there somewhere, there is a Champion that has my title. I am coming to claim it!!! I have to work a little bit harder the he is. I have to think a little bit wiser!!! I need to use all wisdom that I have!!! I am the top DOG. I am From The USA!!!!
You see, what I was doing is programming myself to think, act, and train like a real champion. The people who I trained with already had some State and National Championships! I learned by watching and listening to them! You want to be a champion? Then you hang with and do what champions do! Follow in the steps of one who already has done it! Learn from those that are doers, not talkers!
You may of heard people say knowledge is power! Well, I disagree! Knowledge is knowledge! That's all it is, just knowledge! This is good though, knowledge can make one wise! However, ACTION, Now that is power! You see to have knowledge is to be wise! The type of action one may take is wisdom! Whether you do something or not, is still taking some kind of action! My point being, having knowledge won't matter if you don't know how to yield to wisdom. Being wise is knowing something, wisdom is using that knowledge! Doing what you know to be right, whether you want to or not. Just because it is the right thing to do!
I'm sharing this with you because it all will come into play in your quest to become all that you ever wanted to be! In the past I have seen people who had the knowledge about how to train. However, Because of egos or what have you, they decided to not have any wisdom. An injury could finish your quest to be all that you ever wanted to be! Example: Knowing you should bench with a closed grip! However, you prefer the open palm grip knowing that the bar could pop-out and you do it anyway!
If I could only tell you how many people I have seen drop 500,600,700, plus pounds on their chest, neck, and YES, face! Only because that is the way they like doing it! Believe me, it is all fun till it happens to you! WE should be thinking safety at all times. No matter what you are doing, yielding to wisdom, like it or not IS the best way to go! You will have a better and healthier life!
Your here because you want to know more on how to better your overall well being! No matter where you are now with your program, start writing down in a note book, what it is you are looking to accomplish. Write down the reason why your training! Why is it, and what you want to accomplish! It has to be written down. This is because you will be reading this everyday! Be specific in your vision and goal! It does not matter that you know why, write it down! This is more important then you think!
You see, you are going to need a plan of action! Writing down what it is you want. Then writing down how you are going to get there! What you need to do! And for how long! This is going to be your guild! Your blue print and map that will determine how you will succeed in your quest to be all that you ever wanted to be! By knowing what you want, and how your going to get there is a big part of doing it! If it isn't written down, you won't have a clear picture of what you are going to need to do. This give you a clear vision to read and look at. So when changes are to be made you can know when, how, what and where to make these changes. Are you beginning to understand? Without a clear plan of action, it will delay your progress, days, weeks, months, even years! This is VERY IMPORTANT!
