I know very little about lab work either, I'm afraid. Your food sounds really good. Maybe it's time to buy yourself something new that fits well. Just trying on clothes would help you realise just how far you have come.

Had an OK day. Started out not so good but got better. Found out I have to see the doctor twice just to get a preventive visit. It's a new doctor so I have to "establish care" before a second, preventive visit. I'll have to pay a co-pay for the first one and then the second one, by law, is fully covered. I think all I need is just one visit and it's unfortunate people of lesser means have to go through this just to get good care.

Got a decaf Starbucks on the way but discovered it wasn't actually decaf so I was bouncing off the walls into this afternoon. Just got over a coffee addiction and I'm still super sensitive.

I ran 4 miles and walked 2 today. The run felt fantastic. Total calories out are 4,333. 20k steps. Yogurt with pistachios for breakfast; chicken and fried egg sandwich with a spinach salad for lunch; chicken stir fry for dinner. Total calories in were 1,903. Calorie deficit of 2,430 today. Seems high. I'm not hungry and I didn't go as far on my run or walk.

My weight today was 202.6. I feel like I'm getting over the past 3-4 weeks freak out. I got that binge out of my system and I'm settling back into my diet and exercise and I'm not as obsessed about just getting to my GW.

Thanks all for your comments on my diary and following along. I'm a bit distracted right now and having trouble with replies but I will meet you in your respective diaries. Hope you all are doing well! :)

That´s great to hear!

I rested today. I felt awful most of the day. My weight this morning was 202.4. Calories in were 3164, calories out are about 2500. About 5700 steps.

I sometimes can´t exercise because my stomach or skin is just too upset whereas you´ve sometimes mentioned feeling bad after not being able to exercise. I´d say there´s a pretty big difference. To put it simply: I wanted to know if you´re ok now.

Yogurt and blueberries for breakfast. Blueberries are going. Had an avocado on sprouted bread too. Avocado never really ripened. Lunch was chicken and black beans with a dollop of yogurt. Dinner was a Mediterranean bowl from Zoe's Kitchen and then I had nuts, leftovers, and yogurt as snacks to bring my calorie total up to compensate for the running.

I was 203 this morning. 14 away from my goal weight. 3 away from the 100s - that'll be a cool accomplishment when I make it there and I'm so close![/QUOTE]

It sounds like you are accomplishing your goals. Great job!. I haven't been to Zoe's Kitchen, yet, but would like to go one day.

I had a great day today. I saw a new doctor who I think will be a good fit for me. He seems quite attentive, knowledgeable and willing to help me with my concerns and goals. First visit and it was beyond a simple checklist and review of systems. He understood right away the work I've put in and the significance of what I've accomplished so far and he was complementary and encouraging. His nurse assistant has lost a lot of weight after bariatric surgery. She has struggled a lot with maintenance but was very encouraging and warm.

I ran 7 miles and walked 4. I've been stopping about halfway through my runs and walks to stretch a little. I stretch very little before I start anything, then I walk a couple miles, then stretch some, run the first few miles or so, stretch more, walk again, sometimes stretch again, then finish the run, and then stretch. I'm able to walk and run faster and it feels great and gives me a more rewarding workout. The increase in speed may also be due to the weight loss too of course.

When I was at the gym, a guy came up to me and complemented me on how good I looked and asked how much weight I've lost. He said a few more encouraging things and mentioned both he and his wife had noticed the work I've been doing. It was very nice and the first time that's happened to me. I thanked him and talked a little bit about how much work it's been. I felt really good afterwards.

I think a bug is incubating right now. I had a very slight sore throat last night which I forgot about today but it came back tonight. Drinking lots of water and resting.

2700 calories in, 5229 out according to my Fitbit.

Another great part of the day was that my weight was 200.6 this morning. I'm getting there!

Hi Shell, I like Zoe's Kitchen for their healthy, lower cost options. It's a good alternative to the salad/wrap/sandwich health food restaurants too, I think.

Thanks for posting on my diary and the encouragement! I haven't been doing a very good job lately of posting to others' diaries but I will make it around to your diary and say hi.

That's so nice! And congratulations on getting even closer to the 100s!

What a positive & encouraging day, Rob. To find a doctor who seems like he will be a good fit & gave you kudos for the improvements you have made is great & is very encouraging.
Well done on incorporating stretches into your run & reaping the benefits.
That conversation at the gym would have been so good. I remember how I felt when no-one noticed for months when I continually lost weight, but eventually when they did comment I got asked if I had Cancer. Nice, encouraging positive statements are lovely.
I hope the bug goes away quickly. Your immune system is probably getting stronger as you eat healthier & get fitter.
Yay for being so close to being under 200! That is excellent!

I had an OK day today. I did discover that I've been underestimating the calories in the chicken I eat by 50%. I've been eating about 2 chicken breasts a day since I started this plan! That's 280 calories a day I missed. Wtf? My mind is blown.

I think I'm getting over this bug. I was really sleepy today but managed to go to the gym where I did about an hour on the eliptical. Once I got going, the sleepiness went away and I went hard with it. Afterward I came home and laid down and was out for a good 2 hours. My congestion is easing tonight. Whatever this was, it was pretty mild although Thursday sucked.

I was pretty busy tonight and not hungry after the nap so I actually missed dinner. I did eat some pistachios. I've been eating white peaches in the morning. They are pretty good although kind of mild. A pretty good sized peach is about 60 calories. Total calories today were 1798. Calories out are 3180 which I think might be an underestmate.

My weight was the same as yesterday - 200.6.

TMI time but I've been having more gas and it's smellier as I've gotten lower in weight. I haven't really changed much with what I eat. Maybe my gut microbiome has been building up to a healthier level? I say this because it's more like when I was younger. I had strong, smelly farts then and I was pretty healthy.

This was funny, Cate. Cancer? Really?? I think you're right about my immune system. Every time I got sick when I was really obese, it would take me out for awhile and it was much more painful.

Ok, I made it under 200 today! Woohoo! My weight was 199.6. I kind of crashed today though. I think I’m still getting over that bug.

I ate almost 6k calories which were mostly nuts and protein bars. Took another nap this afternoon. Total steps were about 3k.

I quit drinking seltzer water. I was drinking too much of it and it wasn’t worth spending the money on anymore. It was my last addiction to go. Filtered water is such a disappointment now but I suppose I will get over it quickly. Poor me. I may try drinking a little - a can or less a day. Moderation with anything is difficult for me but this may be something I can use to try to “rehabilitate” myself with lol.
