Please Help 15 Needin Advice :(

Hey im 15 and im a enthusiastic boxer, i've been going for awhile now but certain things caused me 2 become angry and i stupidly punched a wall causing my metacarpel to snap ( greenstick brake so they cud manipulate it back to position ) and moving my knuckle backwards. i have just had it put in a full arm cast ( apparently to keep my arm and wrist straight for healing ). they said a minimun of 3 months b4 i can box n put my wrist under any real stress. but i cant sit ther for 3 months or more before i can train... is there any good training excercises i can do ( these can be any part of my body relevant to boxing ) without using my right arm ( which is what i use for writing ). thank you for taking the time to read my problem.

i knw it may sound petty, but if you've been going three times a week for atleast a year and abit, its horrible to have to sit there with nothing to do on a day and not be able to train cause of one arm being in a pot. i just wondered if anyone has any suggestions of what i can do :) any on how to train my uninjured arm in explosive excercises would be great :):)

sorry to hear that, when i was young my right arm got casted for almost 4 months. I slip on the floor which now cause my arm to ache when its very cold at night.

I've never boxed, but i'm sure you need a powerful core for the punches. You should strengthen your abdominals, obliques, and try to hit your back while you're down. I would stay away from training your other arm while this one is incapasitated, because the casted arm will atrophy a bit, and you will be super lopsided.

Hit your core and try not to sweat into the cast too much. I'm not sure if this is your first cast, but you don't want to get it wet. It stinks and chaffes like a motha'

cheers

thanks for the tips, i been working my back and abdominals and now have my cast of, though i'll have to wait another 3-4 weeks before i can use it properly:) cheers
