How can I change it up on treadmill

Hi,

I am slowly starting to get back to exercising after a small surgery so I can't over do it yet.
I have been walking 2.8 mph for 40 min each day at an incline.
I dont want to platau though. Is alternating each week from that to only 30 min at no incline enough of a change up to ensure I don't platau and see some results?
