Need some tips for starters

Allright so I'm a 19 year old guy and finally decided to start workin out. All these years I thought it wasn't that important to workout since I was more of a bully so I always thought that workin out wasn't for me since I didn't need it. Well now I'm out of school and I kinda regret not working out that much when I was younger.

I'm pretty much skinny (very very slight belly btw), I weigh about 130 pounds I think the last time I checked when I was at the doctors haha, and I'm 5'7" in height. I don't gain that much weight, it pretty much runs from my dad side, their all skinny. So yea thats a little info about me.

Now I need some tips for starters but the thing is I can't go to the gym since I'll be going to college and getting a job next month, so the only time I have is when I'm at home. So I need some workout tips I can do at home every day, I mean I have some dumbells lyin arround my room ranging from 10 pounds all the way to like 60.

Thanks for reading.

read the weight training 101 sticky for one.

Another person on this site who only has dumbbells is doing a full body workout (the most efficient way for most people to weight train) with dummbbells. Here it is:

workout A
dumbell squats
Dumbbell Bent-over Row
dumbell bench press
upper body assistance exercise(your choice)
rotator cuff work-Cuban Press

workout B
stiff leg db deadlift OR one leg single leg deadlift
chinups/pullups
Dumbbell Shoulder Press
lower body assistance exercise(your choice)
rotator cuff work-External Rotator on knee

if you don't mind me asking. How were you a bully at 5'7" 130 pounds?

phsychological bullies are the worst, azn

hmm that fbw looks familiar lol...

bullies at my school aren't smart enough to be psychological bullies. Actually my school just has a bunch of rednecks. All of home are too weak/stupid to be bullies. But they try, oh they try.

Yeah, a pretty intelligent guy posted that FBW. I wonder who it was...

The biggest workout tip I can give you is the first month or two are the toughest; you won't have much to show for your efforts, you'll be tired and winded and maybe even have thrown up once or twice or three times.

BUT, stick with it for two months and you'll start seeing real change and you'll become addicted.

And a 130# bully in my high school would not have been much of a bully...
