Eh, I didn't do anything impressive this round. I didn't come in first, nor did I come in last. It was horridly raining Sunday morning and also on Friday night. The ground had turned into basically mud...let's say spinning and rotating was an interesting experience.
I slid numerous times on the HWD which didn't help.
The caber went from 85 lbs to ~110-120 lbs of weight due to soaking up rain water. This is my first Game that I was unable to turn a caber. I picked it just fine, but I never could get quite enough control to take a full speed run to get a flip.
I did hit 10' on my WOB and will soon be approaching 11', so that's cool. I hit a PR in light hammer now that I've gotten use to the hammer boots.
We didn't do my favorite event-sheaf.
I normally come in 1st on my stone puts, but I came in 4th.
It could've been better; it could've been worse.
What was cool though was I got to hang out with the pros and got tons of training tips from them. I was fed free food and beer all weekend long, so that was definately cool. And I got to see some throwing friends I haven't seen in a year. Sooooo...I'd like to have been better in the performance department, but I had an absolutely great time.
I didn't really take any pics because I figured you guys were tired of me posting them up.
I have 12 weeks until Tulsa. I'll thankfully be throwing back in C class instead of in the B class. I want to hit competing in B class around the Marchish time next year.
They'll put the scores and placings of everything in a week or less up on the net. I'll know where I stand then.
