havent worked out since high school wrestling

I was always fit and active .... and if you looked at me now you probably would think i still am, but im really quite out of shape bad ... still real strong , but no endurance, probably good run a 1/4 mile before i dropped.... My one boon is i Surf well and when there are waves i am usually out.. but its pretty flat here except in the fall winter...

I'm 31 of age 204 # and 6 foot .... my weight was like 180 before i stopped drinkin/smokin weed... then in like 3 monthes, i gained 40-45 #....
ive lost some weight but basicly by starvation..

I wanna do it right...

I would be so happy if i could run 5 miles a day....

oh i smoke and it doesnt look look like ill be quitting anytime soon so i will have to push through it.....

can any one suggest where to begin... i mean im not doin anything rightnow.
I dont know where to start.... I dont wanna drop, nor really hurt myself..

i eat like 1 meal a day.... usually pretty good nuitrition then, but i dont know If i should just drink atkins drinks mostly or eat 5 times?
id like to get in the weight room , but think(?) the aerobics is where I should start........

Any advise on how to achieve my goals...?

A good diet is always a good place to start. Your gonna need to keep it balanced with plenty of fruit and veg, also try and cut down on junk foods. If you eat at mealtimes a good meal with plenty of nutrients you shouldn't feel the need to snack. You need plenty of exercise that you enjoy, jogging, swimming etc. Swimming is good because it is low impact and cheap.

If you find aerobic exercise simply isn't your thing (like it isn't mine) you could buy some weights and start lifting. Weights are convienient if you have your own set because you can lift in your own home.
