26 pounds down, still more to go

Hi everyone, I just wanted to update my progress, as I have lost quite a bit of fat. It has been almost 11 weeks since I've been cutting, and all has gone well so far. It calculates to about 2.36 pounds a week, which seems healthy. I've read before that for men, the abdominal area is the last to lose fat, and I believe it now!

I want to say thanks to all the wonderful, friendly, helpful people on this site who have contributed in some way to my advancements. I have worked very hard, but without the knowledge and advice shared to me by so many, I don't think I would have made it far. No one is obligated to help, but so many do, and I can't possibly thank you all enough for it. I have learned so much through this site, and I hope to stick around for a long time to come.

Anywho, any comments are welcome! The first pic is at 208, the second one is at 182. Ignore the date on the first pic. I never thought I would be sitting at 182 pounds and still need to keep going down, but I still have several pounds sitting at my midsection that needs to get burnt off. I am dying to start bulking again though!

geez, good job, keep it up

Sorry, but why are you losing weight? You're already pretty skinny, any thinner and you'll look malnourished.
What's your daily calorie deficit like? Losing 2.36 lbs of weight a week sounds like you're losing muscle as well as fat

First of all, great job on the progress!

However, i wanted to add a couple of comments. You may want to start bulking for a bit, but eat just a little over your calorie maintenence. You'll put on some muscle mass, and very little fat, if any. This additional muscle will help in burning off that last bit of stubborn belly fat.

Also, be careful if you continue cutting like you are. Losing 2+ lbs a week for an extended period of time (especially at your size) probably means you're losing a little muscle.

Well, I'm debating switching over to a bulk, but there is still fat all around my midsection, which is why I have still been cutting. As for losing muscle, I haven't gone down on any lift in the gym, and many major compounds have actually gone up...

Thanks man! I have been tinkering with the idea of upping my intake to put on more mass, it seems like it would definitely help to burn off the last pounds, as you said. It would also be very nice to start upping the weights on a regular basis once again!

As I said earlier, I'm pretty sure I have not lost muscle. My deadlift actually went up 20 pounds, as well as a few other compounds that got easier and/or increased...

Either way, I think I might stay on the cutting diet for just 2 more weeks, and then start eating 300 cals or so above maintenance and see how that goes for awhile...

Protein at every meal, smart carb timing, veggies veggies veggies, tons of water, healthy fats.

Full body workouts 3 times a week with 3 mile runs those days. HIIT on 2 days, 8 mile run on another day, last day OFF. Compounds only, deadlifts and squats, all variations, bench all variations, row, pullups, dips, lunges.

Great Progress, way to go!

Looks like you cut off some pure fat, with some smart training. Bulk or no bulk, you are doing a fine job with the cut.
