What do I do...

Ok....Long story short, last year I dropped from 255 to 167lbs. I stopped losing weight when I came home from college and my mother started crying because my face was thin, and it was, because u dont always lose your gut first. Im 6ft tall male, at least a mediumlarge frame, but after all that it left me weak. I started lifting on machines but I didnt see much results.
For the past 20 weeks or so Ive lifted free weights. I now weigh 176 but I havent gone up a ton. I originally could not bench 35s on each side at all, now I do 10x30s 8x35s 6x40s and 4x45, (or 135lbs) my 4x45s are really hard and if i do them slowly i wouldnt even make 4. The problem with things is, Ive been off cardio for a while now, and Im scared to death of the weight Ive gained. I know its some strength but theirs fat in there too.

The fat is prominent because of my loose skin. Im 21 and I have loose skin mostly on my stomach and legs. I thought gaining some muscle then cutting the fat would clear things up, but Ive come to realize size doesnt come all that fast.

MY question is, would it be a mistake for me to spend 10 or so weeks cutting. Im going on my first vacation since I was a kid to hawaii. I dont really know what to do..... I want to be able to walk around without my shirt on and not have people stare.

I attatched pictures of 167 and 176 and you guys can tell me what u think. Dont worry im not sensitive to comments, so say what you really think.

What would make me consmetically look better for me to do for spring quarter?

Well you have some loose skin and in my opinion a bulk would be the best thing to do. If you bulk right it doesn't have to be mounds of fat over the muscle. You don't seem to have a good grasp of weight training and I would wager the diet is much of the same.

I would start with reading around the forums in the sticky sections. take the time to do it!

Then you would be best served reading this article on bulking...

I know how to weight train. I have a plan made for me by a friend who is a personal trainer and I eat pretty well as well. I know it isnt mounds of fat, does it appear that I am gaining fat over muscle?

List your routine and diet in DETAIL.

I can't honestly tell from those pictures. You seem to be filling out, but I could tell you from these pictures if its muscle or fat. I can however tell you if your diet and routine are on track if you post it.

You're definitely looking a lot better now than you were, you're doing just fine. Keep up the good work! That's a night and day difference so far, if you ask me.
