First cut

So, i just decided im gonna start cutting, or, its been comming for a long time :p
this is a first for me, so i wonder what happenes when i drop below maintence, is the weather ok down there?

Anyways, im currently doing fullbody 4 times a week + swimming 2 times a week. and im wondering, when im on a deflict, will a 4 times a week strenght training program be too much for me?

Also, how much weight should i aim for dropping a week/a month?
i know i shouldnt go by the scale, but its pretty much the only thing i have, since i dont have any way of measuring my BF.

Frequency of training is great in a cut if your protein is high. I personally like to stick to low reps/higher sets of 3x day full body work, especially if doing full body previously. If you wanted to go four days you could do a really strong compound upper/lower or push/pull as well.

As far as loss per week it kind of depends on how much you have to lose, your pretty lean as it is right? If it is no more than say 10-15 pounds of body fat then no more than 1-2 first few weeks out and then it will likely slow to .5-1lb a week till goal. Since it is your first cut as well and your metabolism is running pretty strong don't be alarmed if first week or two you drop a little fast. It is a good thing from feeding yourself well.

Since you can't check BF% I would watch how your strength is going in the gym and overall energy. This will be a good sign of muscle loss.

hmmm...I wanna loose fat a little bit too.So the best way to loose fat is

mon. full bodyworkout
tue. run
wed. full bodyworkout
thur. run
fri. full bodyworkout
sat rest
sun. rest

and lower the calories?

Right now I'm only 167....and my height is 5'9.Do you guys think I should start cutting....or im still too skinny for that weight and height.

ya that is my problem too. I am fairly lean to begin with, so I only need to lose about 5-7 more pounds of FAT to be at 8%. The problem is it comes off REALLY slowly at this point. It's easy to drop 50 pounds when you have 70 or 100 to lose but to lose 1 when you have 5 is tough. I have SUBSTANTIAL abs and I want to be able to fully see them instead of the hint of them I'm getting now. What is the key to cutting?

Yep, 100%. For me, the biggest factor in diet has been controlling my carbs. Getting protein in has been the same as always, not a problem. Fats too, not hard to get some good fats in. It's hard for some to realize that you need a nice amount of fats to lose fat, peanut butter, olive oil, and fish oil covers if for me.

The carbs has been big for me though. I always have oats for breakfast, but after that I only eat maybe a piece of bread or a little rice. Other than that, my carbs come from a piece of fruit, and lots of veggies. I credit a lot of my current sucess to controlling carb intake...

Diet, diet, diet.

Needs to be clean, high protein to protect your muscle, good fats and the right carbs at the right times.

Amen, once I cut out junk food; the fat started melting off
