once or twice now?

Ive been doing a once a week muscle group for a while now,and I'm a ectomorph.Now im almost 160 im just wondering do i still have to do a twice a week muscle group now or just keep doing once a week.

this is my stats:

height 5'9
weight 158
 
err.. dont train a muscle group just once a week.
 
so twice a week is much better?

for example

mon chest and shoulder abs
tues back and triceps
 
so twice a week is much better?

for example

mon chest and shoulder abs
tues back and triceps
wed biceps and legs
thurs chest and shoulders
fri back and triceps
sat biceps and legs??

Full body. Every Muscle in one workout. focusing on compound exercises. Go read the stickies in the weight training forum.

I am currently doing 3x full body and it is working wonders because I am eating alot too (given that 80% of my stuff is good... the other 20% bad), but I have gained 7lbs since the beginning of November, so I find that fairly decent. Full body is perfect for bulking, so check it out. Here is an example:

Full Body Workout:
Deadlift – 2 x 8
Rear Delt Raises – 1 x 8
Squats – 2 x 8
Dumbbell Curl – 2 x 8
Bench Press – 2 x 8
Chin Ups – 2 x failure
Military Press – 2 x 8
Calf Raise – 1 x 8
 
choice examples..

monday/thursday weightraining (full body workout both days)
tuesday/friday cardio

or...
monday/wednesday/friday weightraining (mondays-upper body, wednesdays-lower body, fridays-full body..or you can do it tuesday/thursday/saturdays

if MWF, do cardio on tuesday/saturdays with thursday and sunday rest. if T,TH..do cardio monday, friday..and if you want to do it on wednesdays u can as well.
