This is really embarrassing but I'll suck it up and here goes.
For the past year and a half, I've had this pain in the back of my LEFT leg... It is exactly where my butt cheek meets my back thigh (the crease under my butt i guess). It is constantly getting worse. The pain sometimes goes down back to the middle of my hamstring. Really feels like something is pulled. I also have issues with my sciatic nerve on my right leg off and on. I have been to the Dr. The Dr. says the pain is caused by my back (although the x-rays and MRI of my back are fine). So I dont understand why he says that, but then again I'm not the doctor. I am sure that this pain is in some way associated with my sprinting in HIIT, though there was never one certain moment that I knew I did it. Its just been gradual...
I have been to physical therapy and gotten a list of stretches to do and I do them. I still am getting worse. The physical therapist said not to run for two weeks. I've taken 6 weeks off of running before.. Still, no better at all. I've done all I know to do, ice, heat, rest, etc. It's always there. It causes me to need to shorten my stride with my left leg because big steps really hurt. When doing bulgarian squats (when my left leg is in the front) it is almost impossilble for me to stand ALL the way up at the end because the pain is so excruciating right underneath my butt to straighten my leg all the way up.
Has anyone ever had a similar problem? I am tired of doctors and phys. therapists being unable to help me. I wonder if its even my back that is causing the problem.
