Row for V-shape?

Hi. I've been doing a full body workout for a little over a year now. For my back I've pretty much been doing just a seated row on a cable machine. To get a good V shape should I also be doing something to really work the lats (like a pull down or something) or should the row be fine? Thanks!

You should really be doing both, either alternating or on the same day, depending on your specific workout. Both together is a lot better than just one in getting that "V" down.

Cable rows (or lat pulldowns) are not the best exercise for increasing muscle mass. Bent rows and pullups, combined with a good whole body routine, including lower body exercises like squats and deadlifts will add muscle mass to give you a V-shape much faster than cable rows.
