question about core str

how big of a role does core strength play in squatting ?? cuz my squatting has gotten better but i have a really weak core .. something i need to definitely add to my workout .. and is it ok to do full body 3 days a week .. then on the other 2 do core ?
 
i think the weight has gone up, but he is afraid that his weak core will stop it sometime soon.

You could add some planks and side to your workouts.
 
Depends on what you mean by 'core training' on the off days. the lower back is considered core, but you don't wanna work it the day after squats and deadlifts.

if you stick to the big compound exercises like squats, deads, benchpress, pullsups, barbell rows...you should only need to work the abs to complete the 'core training'.
 
i dont really work my core at all really .. just stuck with compounds .. stopped deadlifting for a bit and swapped out to good mornings to help
strengthen the glutes and lowerback and hammies

im gonna start hitting abs .. 3 days a week .. my gym doesnt have a thing for reverse hypers for the lower back though which sucks ..

im in the process of changing programs .. just dunno what to do anymore
 
deadlifts, squats, romanian deads and stiff leg deads should be plenty for lower back until you're more advanced at training.
