to look good and to be admired by having a good body, do you guys think it is easier for a guy to get a good bulk or women to slim down and look good.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to cause up problems haha
Depends on where you're starting and your genes, mostly. For instance, a guy can have a face ugly as sin but he could have a good body and be considered good looking. A girl needs to be pretty much blessed all around to be considered beautiful. Superficially, anyway. It's all subjective.

If a woman has a good body, an ugly face, but bleaches her hair blonde, she will be considered hot by most men. Um, generalizing, of course. But I've noticed blonde hair can often trump facial beauty.
I think women have it tougher than men as far as looks go, for sure. We've got to do a lot more maintenance, show a lot more skin, plus we have kids which really does a number on a woman's bod, etc. We have more fat cells than men. We don't gain muscle as easily as men. Cellulite. To be considered ideal we should be slim but also have fat in the right places. We're expected to wear bikinis to the beach and men can wear swim trunks down to their knees. And so on.
But yeah, I guess as far as getting in shape, it all depends on the individual. Some men have it easier, some women have it easier.

my opinion is that it is harder for girls kuz im a guy and when im bulking its real easy i dont do much cardio at all and i eat tons and i only w/o 3 times a week or less.
guys can be big and thats good but girls cant and they usually dont eat so much. girls are pressured to be thin with low bf CONSTANTLY. that sucks.

i cant say who its harder for, but i definately know that cutting is definately worse than bulking, no matter whos doing it.
cutting sucks.....of course if you're already good looking, you're set. however if you have an ugly @ss mug like LV's ... well now you're just plain screwed

If you asked a women to look around a crowded room and point out good looking men... women are much more picky... most men fall into the he's ok catagory... very few hit the lust inducing level...
On the other hand... men or at least me an my friends... can do the same and find bunches of women hot... a few smoking hot...
That being said... if you are looking to intice the opposite sex with your appearance... it is easier for women... IMHO... if you want to look good enough to get a chance... well women are more forgiving...
Take a guy in awesome shape... pecks... 6 pack... well groomed... he could walk around the swimming pool and the women might take a peak...

true women an be more picky but more women have different tastes than others while I may think this handful of guys is good-lookin my best friend might find 1-2 of them attractiveand vice-versa. So being a guy there is a better chance that Someone is going to like you ... For a chick there is in general one look of the "season" and like 5% of us can realistically ever get there, no matter how light we are etc. all of our bodies are shaped so differently that it much less unrealistic. also I think that physiologically speaking mens bodies are more apt to be leaner. Women are born with something like 18% more body fat than men. Our bodies are designed to "spread" our genes ad so we have to have a certain amount of fat to keep us fertile while a man with more testosterone may have a leaner more aggressive body which will help him get chicks and therefor he'll be more likely to reproduce right?jsobo119 said:
