Where to get accurate BF% test?

Hey everyone,

I went for a body fat % today at my gym, and they used a scale-type device (which automatically foreshadowed inaccurate results to come) where the guy entered my height, and it weighed me and gave body fat %.

It came out to 18%!

I was frustrated, and I immediately knew this was inaccurate. I then had a thought come across that this was possibly a ploy by the gym to make people work harder and stay with them longer, which would of course benefit the owners.

Where can I go for a real body fat % test? calipers, etc.

lol, dont be frustrated. i'm sure thats where your around.

If you want the BEST / MOST ACCURATE. go to a local university and pay $1.50 for a UNDERWATER fat test :]

Get measured every 3-4 weeks

I live near my campus, but where would I go to get this test? And, this is probably an obvious question, but is the "underwater" body fat test literally underwater? Because I got a hydro--something test three weeks ago and I just had to lay down in a room.

so basically u should get tested every 4 weeks basically ?
my guy at the gym used calipers and measured 4 points ..

you wont see a dramatic change in bf% if u measure every freakin week lol.

every 4-5 weeks is best
