new book, new body hopefully

Hey, I am brand new to the forum. I am a single mother who wants to get fit- I don't need to lose weight so much as I need to tone everything up quite a lot. I was wondering what everyone would recommend as the best plan? I bought several books but I don't know which to use!! Does anyone know which is best of: Stronger After 40 by Dr. Arnould, Weight Training for Life by James Hesson, or Fat-Burning Workout: From Fat to Firm in 24 Days by Joyce Vedran? I bought all three because I didn't know which to pick, then I realized I should get some advice. I was thinking I would ideally give each one 6 weeks or so and see how it went, but does anyone have any other advice? Unless someone recommends something else entirely, I'm going to start with Stronger After 40 because my sister recommended it to me. Does anyone else use this book? Have any advice? Thanks!!

books are very nice if you're a reader, but i exercise with videos and i watch movies on the bike. that's what worked for me.

by the way, i'm over 40.
