starting fresh on abs

My goal for the summer is to get a six pack. ive been doing sit ups and bought a fitness ball but ive seen little to no progess so...so I thought maybe you guys could help.

Any certain work out I should be doing (go into details, i don't know to much).
Also, Im in need of a diet aswell.

I would like to say also that I play soccer. I play almost everyday for atleast 3 hours. I also have a membership to a gym if it is needed/good to work out over there.

Please post everything I need to know, to get started because basically i barely know anything about this. I currently dont have to much fat on my stomach, but you could hardly see the abs. Would HIIT be good for me? if so please tell me what exactly it is.

Thanks a lot,
Michael

For Fat-loss HIIT is a must. Did you say you are following the Abs Diet?

Well it seems like your question focuses more on exercises rather than nutrition. Just FYI, nutrition plays a much larger role in exposing your abs then does exercises. What does your diet look like?

well...iam still in high school, so basically whatever i have at home.
breakfast - cereal (honey bunches of oats)
lunch - turkey sandwich
snack after i come home - a yogurt, with some fruit
dinner - whatever my mom makes. usually some meat.

i also heard that i should be eating about six small meals instead of what iam currently doing. is this correct?

flawless - thanks ill start probably tomorrow.

I second that. I don't actually do any isolated abs exercises like crunches and the like.. there's plenty of abs work incorporated in lots of other exercises. You need to focus on your diet, IMO it's by far the most important thing when trying to get lean. It's also way harder than just exercising.. it's "easy" to crop 1-2 hours per day for cardio/weights, but a decent diet needs sufficient self discipline 24/7 (and most people need a decent diet to obtain a 6-pack).

Do you have a 6 pack with the abs showing mr_afk? As you say you dont do many isolated abs exercises. When people say the diet .. is that just as important as having low body fat. As i have very low bodyfat and am very skinny i can see my abs in certain lights but not all. I dont seem to gain or lose any weight. If i had a better diet then are the abs more likely to show? I dont mean that by losing weight cause i could really do with gaining some, just would it expose my abs more. May sound silly i find it hard to explain
