Noob training

Hey sorry to be a bit of noob at this but

if i get a set of dumbells i could use them with a bench but i havnt got enough space for a bench so can i just lie on the floor and do the presses that way?

sorry if nobody knows what im goin on about

thanks anyway

no, not really, cuz you wanna go a little deeper than arms parallel to the floor on a chest press. you really need a bench to accomplish this.

and, a good, new adjustable incline bench will run close to $200...so I'd check garage sales.

this is what i did a long time ago... i bought about 20 1x6s and stacked it into a bench... since it was wood it wasnt that heavy so whenever i wasnt using it i placed it vertical

it looks like a piece of crap. thin braces, doesn't look like it has wide legs for stability, and that crazy angle....meh

That's a "sit-up" bench, not a 'bench' bench.
