It always amazes me how quick a week of vacation will fly by. We definatly had a blast, although I can only sit around at a lakehouse doing nothing but riding the boat and jetski for so long. after 3 days I was over it. Must have been my ADD kicking in...LOL We wont even discuss what I ate...lol I ate good for breakfast and lunch all the days, but after that it would always go downhill, but hey thats what vacations are about, getting away from everything. Im really looking forward to getting back to my routine. I ended up being sick last night from eating too much junk food. I was REALLY bored and ended up binging on chips and dip. Definatly paid for it on drive home and I was really sick. not exactly the best way to drive home. I think I shocked the hell outta my body by eating all that junk, maybe that is why I got sick. I never eat that stuff.

Today was better diet and excercise wise. Feels good to be home and back on a routine again.

Breakfast- Kashi cereal with organic skim milk and 1 medium banana

8:00 am... 1 hour step aerobics class

snack post workout- medium apple with small handful almonds

lunch- tuna sandwhich on sprouted wheat bread, with small amount fat free mayo, with baby carrots raw

snack- 60 calorie pita bread with tablespoon natural peanut butter

snack- had a sweeets craving, so had a handful of quaker rice cakes mini

dinner- 4 ounces wild caught salmon, broccoli steamed, 1 medium apple

Today was pretty good. Besides working out, I just took the day off for some R and R around the house. Its back to work tommorow:( I'm already missing my vacation...LOL It amazes me how walking around in a bathing suit for a week will give you LOTS of body confidence, maybe I wont be so scared to wear it out at the beach this year.

As far as food goes, I did pretty good today. I have been majorly hungry all the time the past 2 days. Maybe its because I was eating so much during the last week at the lakehouse, and now I'm back to the usual 1700-1900 calories. hmmm...

Breakfast...Bowl of Kashi golean crunch cereal, with organic skim milk, almonds and small handful of cut strawberries

1 hour (and I do mean 1 hour!! he pushed us hard!!) group cycle class. Im really starting to enjoy these, although I think I need some padded shorts or something, my butt hurts during it...

post workout snack... 60 calorie pita with 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter

lunch... chicken sandwhich with bit of fat free mayo, on sprouted wheat bread, baby carrots

snack... 1 medium apple

snack again... im really hungry!!! what the heck??? handful of quaker rice cakes mini's, a few cut strawberries

dinner... bison burger plain (that was sooooo good!!!) half of a baked sweet potato, 3 medium broccoli stalks


I wish I would quit feeling so hungry. I was starving about 2 hours after dinner, and ended up having a small salad, with a tablespoon light ranch dressing, and a piece of lowfat string cheese for protein.

Think Im gonna go for a run tonight, Im kinda bored, and its nice outside...
 
Your body is wondering what happened to all the calories you ate over your vacation. You'll get back in the swing of it and your body will adapt. Just don't go into starvation mode. Bad, very bad.

Your food looks good, just give your body time.
 
Tell ya what, I learned my lesson about eating and drinking so much after being sick friday night on the drive home. I just had a margarita...again... it was tiny though!!! only about 4 ounces, I couldnt help it, John had made them and he makes them sooooooooo good. baaaaadddd
 
Haha she, I will definatly think of you next time we have margaritas.

Man I was so tired last night, I hope I'm not getting sick. I had step class both am and pm yesterday, and after the class I wasnt hungry at all, and that is really unusual for me, usually im starving when I get home. Maybe the heat got to me, the AC units are still broken in there, and it was every bit of 90 degrees in the room. blech. But even so when I woke up this morning, I was soooo tired, usually I wake up before my alarm, but I almost slept through it today, and my body has been so stiff today. ugh. dont know what the problem is. Maybe I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things after being gone for a week.

Yesterday

Breakfast... Kashi cereal with organic skim milk, strawberries, blueberries, and almonds.

step class at 5:30 am

7:30 snack... apple

Midday snack around 10ish... i think it was a yogurt

lunch.... chicken sandwhich on sprouted wheat bread, with a bit of mayo, baby carrots, and another apple...cant help it they are sooooo good

snack... grapes

pre workout meal... other half of sweet potato from the other night, tablespoon peanut butter for protein.

step class again...HOT HOT HOT

post workout meal... wasnt hungry hardly, made myself eat something because my calorie intake wasnt exactly up to par yet. I ended up eating a low calorie pita bread with another tablespoon and a half of natural peanut butter, and a few baby carrots so I could say I got some veggies.

I was planning on making salmon, but I really just didnt feel like eating it, let alone cooking it. oh well, I will eat it tommorow at work for dinner. I have the late shift

Breakfast...Kashi go lean crunch with organic skim milk, blueberries, strawberries, and almonds...1 apple

snack... lowfat breyers yogurt

lunch... 4 ounces grilled chicken breast, 2 broccoli stalks, and an apple

snack...baby carrots with a few almonds mixed in. oh yeah a few cherries too, one of the girls brought a bunch too work. I havnt had whole cherries in YEARS lol

pre workout meal...if I decide to go... plain oatmeal with a bit of protein powder, and a half a banana mixed in.

Im suppose to go take the advanced step class tonight... havnt decided whether Im up to going or not. I really think the heat is wearing me down. It was like 110 degrees here today...ugh either way for a snack I will probably have a pita with peanut butter again.
 
I quit after 25 minutes. It was the advanced step class, so I wasnt teaching or anything. It must have been at least 100 degrees in there, and I started feeling weird... like I couldnt catch my breath...but I wasnt really out of breath at the time. And then started feeling lighthead, so I ran outta there and gulped a bunch of water, and stood in front of the fan for a few minutes. I feel ok now, but have a headache. It really scared me, I have never had heat stroke before, I suppose that is what it was leading too.. So now im home, and eating a peanut butter pita, with a small salad, trying to make myself feel better. drinking tons of water too. I have never had that kind of problem in the heat before, wonder if I didnt drink enough during the day today. Another girl stepped off the step wrong and broke her ankle she thinks. Wasnt a very good day for anyone
 
I suppose they probably shouldnt. It has been hot in there lately, but not that bad. They said it is supposed to be fixed today, but Im not convinced. They keep saying that and it doesnt happen
 
That sounds typical. Do they have fans since they don't have ac? If not, that would help, maybe not alot, but it would help some.

Ugh I feel so tired today, I dont know why. I am definalty sore from step classes monday. I guess thats what I get for slackin while on vacation;) I was going to take a group cycle class this morning, but I couldnt get out of bed that early for whatever reason this morning. I just feel so drained, perhaps the heat is getting to me. I wanted to go for a walk tonight, but again, I'm soooo tired. So I figured I had better rest, as I got a full day tommorow, 2 classes at the gym. The new routine we are doing is tough too, doesnt help we are all still trying to get it down pat. They have fans at the gym, but unless you are right in front of them it just doesnt help. The heat seems to congregate in there more so than the rest of the gym. I just wish they would get it fixed. I have gained a few pounds, about 4 pounds. Does it take a few days to show after a vacation of eating junk that you have gained weight? I know that doesnt seem like much, but my weight is usually pretty consistant on a regular basis, and doesnt vary much in the mornings. Perhaps I am pmsing, I took my last birth control pill yesterday, and the girls at work noticed I have been more moody than usual. Who knows. My diet is clean for the most part this week, and Im pretty good about eating right, and I work out enough, so I guess whatever Im supposed to weigh I'll weigh eventually. Im not trying to drop weight or anything, I just dont want to gain back any weight that I have lost, I guess that is why I am paranoid...anyways, here is what I ate today

breakfast... kashi go lean crunch cereal, organic skim milk, almonds, blueberries, and strawberries mixed in. 1 medium apple

snack... yogurt breyers light

lunch... 4 ounces chicken breast grilled, with small salad mixed with baby carrots and chopped cucumbers. bit of light ranch dressing. 1 medium banana. Also I was having a serious chocolate craving, I dont know what the problem was. I actually walked down the street to 7-11 and bought some. It wasnt much, and single serving, 120 calories worth.

snack... handful of green grapes, and about 5 or 6 almonds

Dinner... 6 ounces about of wild caught salmon, grilled, and 3 small stalks of broccoli

snack after work... whole wheat pita with 1 tablespoon peanut butter

I wish my goofy office manager and boss would quit buying junk food for us employees to eat at work. It seems Im the only one at the clinic besides Frances that cares about eating healthy. our office manager bo ught a HUGE box of individual snack size bags of doritoes, fritoes, etc. and a HUGE bag of hersheys chocolate, and it wasnt even the dark chocolate! Made the room smell like chocolate while I was unpacking stock...total complete TORTURE. But I didnt eat any!!!!!! Go me!!!

Could be pms, could be all the food from vacation. Keep on doing what your doing and you should lose it back.
 
THAT IS TORTURE! I would go so far as to say it's a crime....but good for you for hanging in there - that's some incredible determination and will power!!!!!!!
 
Thanks guys for the compliments! All the other girls at work give me crap for not eating all that junk, especially at staff meetings where our boss likes to bring pizza and junk. Last staff meeting she cooked cheeseburgers on the grill outside, and she got really upset that I would rather eat my sandwich and veggies. It drives me nuts sometimes.

As far as feelin like crap and pmsing, DEFINATLY PMS. I feel like I got hit by a truck this morning, cramps and all. I'd forgotten what it was like....ugh... can I go die now??? Im trying to figure out how Im gonna stick out those classes. lol oh well maybe if I excercise my cramps will disapear later. The weight is definatly probably a combination of pms and all the junk food. Now Im waiting for all the cravings to start today. I get SUPER HUNGRY lol
