Diet recomendation?

Ok, I'm at 16.4% BF, I want to get around 10%. So i could lose all this flab, and start Toning. I'm considering following the Atkins diet because I've done it before and lost a lot of weight very quickly, plus it's very high in protein.
Doe's anyone else have a diet they like? Or tips/tricks they could share?
I REALLY want to minimize muscle loss during this diet, I'm 10lbs from benching 200 and I can smell those 10lbs...

Much appreciated!:)

Atkins is a poor choice of diet. It may be high in protein but it is also high in saturated fats. And really is a diet that allows you to eat a pound of cheese a day and not a piece of fuit healthy? You may lose weight but as soon as you cannot follow the diet any more, you'll put it back on.

Read this book, you'll see that it recommends a high protein lower carb (not no carb) diet that includes healthy fats. You'll see that it is healthy and balanced. I've been following this for a couple weeks now and am quite satisfied with the diet and the results.

low carb diets can and do cause u 2 lose muscle as well as fat wt which is the worse thing that can happen...maybe try something like this;

Breaky - high fibre cerial, toast x 2
2 - protein and fruit
3 - protein and fruit
4 - protein and veg
5 - protein, veg, fats
6 - protein and fats

there wood b another post meal in there somewhere where u wood have some carbs for recovery...basically only have simpel carbs at breaky and immediately after wt workout...if doing cardio only days which is also not so good with low carb (ecspecially fasted cardio) than don't have 2nd carb meal just protein and fats.
alao don't try and diet the fat off...instead increase activity a little and decrease cals a little until u find the level that causes fat loss...stick with that until u stall and then repeat until u find the next level etc

ive done atkins before and got really freakin skinny really fast.

But exactly what Skull Pilot says, any diet that allows you to eat as much freakin bacon as you want, but frowns upon eating fruit is just wrong.

It's my experience in life that there are no shortcuts to real results. Fad diets are just that, they are FADS. A balanced diet, with proper macronutrient ratios, a caloric defecit, and cardio may seem old fashioned, but its tried and true (and a hell of a lot more healthy than Atkins). You arent going to see results as fast as Atkins and i understand that will be very frustrating when it was so easy before.

People start these diets with the idea that there is going to be a time later in life when you can stop doing this so called "diet". But we all know what happens when you stop...it all comes back. There comes a time where you need to make a lifestyle change. Something that you can live with for the rest of your life.

Search the nutrition forums for some ideas on diets that are filling, satisfying, and healthy. And with the help of some regular cardio will help you take body fat off and keep it off.

Hmm I see your points. Thanks for all the great advice!:)
