Do i have a problem?

Sorry i dont really know where to post this so im just gonna put it where i hope the greatest amount of people will see:

i find that when i get up from lying down such as a bench, or bending forward like after your resting from running... and when i get back up... my vision is blurred and my head feels funny... almost like its lightheaded or something

i am a little overweight at the moment, but i do try to get excerise everyday... is this something serious with my blood pressure?

i'd highly suggest that you visit your physician, and get recommendation if its alright if you did any rigorous physical activity.

That happens to almost everyone, but too often. Try moving slower, as in not jumping up right away from the bench or stopping from a full out run and bending over. If it's a constant thing, or you are dizzy and/or lightheaded often then you should see a doc.

Does it happen when you are not exercising? For example, if you are sitting down for a little while and then stand up, does it take a second for your vision to adjust? Vision goes to black and your head feels dazed, then everything is fine and its as if it never existed.

If its only from exercise, its a blood flow oxygen thing and you are probably holding your breath while you exercise, or over-exerting yourself to produce the same effect.

If it happens at other times, like i mentioned, its most likely from sustained malnutrition, IE undereating. Take it from me, i've experienced it in depth in my past, and its not fun or healthy.

HEAD RUSH!!!!!

Dont worry about it, Just be carfull. You could faint.
As some1 said its lack of oxygen. It will happen less and less as you get fitter.
It could also mean that your not warming up enough

Ok so I promised myself only to lurk for a bit but this one I have to respond to. What it seems to be is something called orthostatic hypotension. Its completely normal. Though I would still go talk to your doc and monitor your blood pressure anyway. That is always the smartest thing to do. What orthostatic hypotension is is that when you sit up or stand suddenly your bp drops fast, causing the symptoms. Then your bp goes back up to normal because the body senses the drop and does its thing to rectify the problem so the symptoms dissipate. It is a positional thing and no big deal. Happens to everyone at some point and everyone gets a bit different feeling because we are all different and our bodies respond differently. Try getting up slower, wait a few seconds after completing the exercise before you even attempt to get up as well. If you need further info about this let me know by either posting here or PM'ing me. In short don't worry just take it easy when you get up. :D

Not lack of o2 at all manofkent, its purely related to blood pressure, container size (your bod) and position. :D But ya head rush is a common term, so you get One point;)
