Is this a bad idea

Ive been working out my whole body 3 times a week. I raise the weight with the dumbells and aswell as on the machines weekly or monthly. My chest hasnt been making any progress. Whats a good routine my friends were saying to switch it up like oneday triceps and bench like incline decline and flat. But will this be better then working out your whole body 3 times a week for about 1 hour and 30 minutes?
 
hows ur diet coming along? list what you eat before/after workout , weekly basis

& how tall / u weigh
 
If a full body workout is designed well, it could be very beneficial. The advantage to doing a full body is stimulating your body more, BUT the focus must be on compounds and well developed of course, not doing the exact same thing every time etc...

A split, like doing chest and triceps one day and so on, gives more emphasis to certain groups, but those groups are also stimulated less. There are pros and cons to both. I think you should try out both, but for a very extended period of time, not week-to-week.
 
well my diets really good. I eat alot of protein and carbs and fats. Drink 2-3 or even more liters of water each day. I weigh 155 or so and I am 5,11. My body fat is around 10ish I think because I got the top abs so far. I eat about 2000 or more calories a day maby 2,500 daily sometimes more. Recentley I changed gyms now its weird for me to work out like I use to I gotta get in the same routine like I always did. This consisted of doing biceps 3 sets of 7 with 35 pound dumbells. Then wrist curls 2 sets of 15 or more with 30 pound dumbells. Tricep pushdowns with the (v bar) I start with 80pounds do 3 sets then drop too 70 do 10 reps then keep dropping until im at 10 pounds. Do shoulders and back with dumbells 3 sets of 10 of them. Flat bench 3 sets of 8. Abs 3 sets of 20. Legs 3 sets of 10. Then ran HITT.

Im wondering if my tricep excericse is bad? and for chest aswell should I stick with the 3 sets of 8? I wanna get my chest bigger. Im gonna add in decline and incline I already do flat and I also do pec dec with 3 sets of 10.

I did this monday, wednesday, friday Same thing all the time
