Bicep tendinitis

Over the past 6 months I have has pain in the tendons around the elbow on my left bicep. From the information I can gather it seems to be bicep tendinitis. I have been to the doctor and there is no tear or real damage. It does limit what I am able to do with my left arm during workouts, the pain is too bad to use real heavy weights. I have tried resting it for a couple weeks but the pain always returns. Does anyone have any experience with this type of problem or is there anything I can do?

I have a similar problem here. Mine is pain in my right arm just above my elbow joint on the outside of my arm. If I over use it in any way the pain will grow to include the forearm just below the elbow so I believe it has to be connective tissue problem. I myself have just chalked it up to getting older. A week off and using lighter weights did abolutely nothing. I am hoping that just continuing on it will eventually correct itself. I went through this when I started skating with my right hip and it did go away on it's own as the muscle and connective tissue strengthened. Since I don't have insurance or money for a doctor and I don't want to quit lifting I will just have learn to live with it.

That's what I am doing also. It does seem to loosen up a little after I doing a couple sets but the pain is still there. As you said chalk it up to getting older. LOL!
