Nature Valley

are these good bars for snacks? they look like their healthy

16% fat
sodium 150mg
carb 28g
fibre 12%
sugar 11g
protein 5%
iron 8%
calcium 2%

230 calories per 2 bars (1 pack)

how much do they way?

basicly if your trying to add muscle dont eat anything like that if it had more fat than protien.
I would not eat this based on the info you have given, but then again... Ive not tasted one yet!!!!

look for snacks that have the same or more protien than carbs, and half as much fat or better. the carbs should not be sugars and the fat should not be saturated.
It will be hard to find a bar to match what I have said, but find what is closest. you'll be looking at oat bars, without choc.

to be honest you'll be far far better off with a slice of bread and a protien shake, both nutritionally and finacially.

They're better than a bag of chips, but they're not the best thing to eat if you want to lose weight. There is a bit too much sugar in them. :(

Hey muscleboy, have you tried the Kashi Golean Crunch bars?? They are REALLY tasty, and have both fiber and protien in them. i think they are better than the nature valley bars, without quite so much sugar.

I like the granola bars made by Kashi and they are much healthier than these containing 7 whole grains and way less sugar. Here's the info on the "chewy" peanut butter ones, they have other flavors though, in both chewy and crunchy. I get mine at Super Wal-mart, they are $2.24 for a box of 6 bars. ;)
