Push-Ups

Hello All,

I currently do 120 - 150 push-ups a day in sets of 30. I'm looking to get more upper back work from push-ups. Anyone know of a good website? Would having my arms wider be better for arms and upper back?

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

what are you trying to do with that many pushups? Im just curious..

Build up strength. And I have gotten a bit more musculer from doing it. When doing dips, I went from 6 max to approx 15 in a couple months.

I just find push-ups are easy to do anywhere. But just looking for a bit of a back workout

Do different kinds of push ups. Hindu, Dive bomber. Atlas. Raise your feet to get more shoulder work, do reverse push ups for more flexibility.

The absolute best exercise for your back is pull ups. They compliment push ups perfectly.

Start here and chsck these out too.

push ups don't work the upper back, pull ups and inverted / fatman / body rows do...is that what yoyur after?

a good workout to try with these exercises is EDT where you do 15min time zones and just alternate each exercises and count how many reps you get and beat that next session...can also try ladders where you alternate 1 of each then 2 of each up to 10 - 15 then work back down

I just had this pointed out to me because I want to be able to swap in BW exercises, eventually:

Now if I could find something portable that would simulate BO rows, I'd be set for my trip to Niagara Falls. Some sort of bar that I can do inverted rows with.

save yourself some cash and use someresistnace tubes and / or therabands for those push ups which would be different because most of tension would be at the top where you usually it's at the bottom
