Looking for help w/ 6 meals a day.

Hey guys. Im not clear exactly how much food i should be eating on this whole 6 meals a day plan? knowing me it'll turn into 6 full out dinners. ;) so if anyone could do me a favor and possibly post a day's worth of meals. I just wanna make sure im not over/undereating. thanks.

Also, how do i get around the problem of not being home all day to make 6 meals?

Whats your daily calorie intake? Divide it by 6, this is what most do. Have one carb and one protein in each meal.

If you're not home all day, pack meals for wherever you're going, and split the meals 2-3 hours apart depending on the time you wake up or whichever you're more comfortable with.

Is it ok to make 5 of them kinda small so i can still eat a semi-normal meal with my family for dinner?

I do this myself sometimes, I don't know the negative effects, if any.

If you do this, just make sure your 6th meal just isnt WAY more calories then your first 5 meals. I guess it could be good somedays for your metabolism won't expect the same amount of calories in every meal alll the time.

the only time i had to diet, i still ate a normal dinner with my family. just smaller.

i concentrated the rest of my meals on greens, fruit, and some protein.

6 meals a day for me is really like having a snack every few hours.

1-1 egg and 2 whites scrambled with veggies and a little cheese, 1 piece ww toast, glass V8
2-1 apple with tbsp peanut butter
3-salad or sandwich with low fat meat, lowfat or no cheese, mustard and veggies thrown in, and an orange
4-plain nonfat yogurt with splenda and berries
5-cut veggies dipped in hummus
6-a few oz braised, baked, broiled or grilled meat or fish with vegetables, no fat added, and a serving of brown rice or whole grain couscous.

Hope that helps!

Meal 1- 300-400 calories

Meal 2- 400-500 calories
Snack- 200-300 calories
Meal 3- 400-500 calories

That's what I try to follow. Here's what I've had so far.

Meal 1-
2 eggs(both whites and yolks) - (140-200 calories, 1 normal egg is about 70 calories)
1 piece whole grain toast - Less than 110 calories(bread untoasted is 110 calories, but when toasted, it loses some)
1 tsp Strawberry jam (small amount of calories)
Snack-
1 cup cereal (depends on your cereal, but it should be around 100-120 calories per serving)
1/4 cup 2%Milk (Dunno how many calories)
Meal 2-
Turkey(60 calories), Whole Wheat Flour Tortilla(130 calories), Hummus(1 serving 50 calories), Provolone Cheese(70 calories), burrito wrap (Overall:310 calories)
