advice on bulking and cutting?

as i and most people will be start bulking after the summer i was just wondering if any one can give me tips on bulking? send me any links. and does the weight training change when trying to bulk or cut? i no the cardio gets dropped which will be annoying because i will lose fitness but oh well. so any tips on bulking wuill be appreciated so i can start planning ahead.

ok well some things to remember about bulking is that you still are on a strict diet that does not give you permission to just eat anything you want. You want to up your calories with healthy foods and LOTS of protein. About 1g of protein per pound you weigh is a good goal to go for although if you are short on some days its ok. It's a trial and error process to find the right amount of calories that are going to put on muscle for you with minimum fat. What's your height/weight and have you ever bulked before?

5ft 8.5 156lbs . i bulked for abit gained about 14pounds but alot went to my belly because it wasnt a very strict diet! but i have a clean diet nw wether im bulking/cutting or maintaining.

don't quit cardio altogether, just do it on days yo udon't lift weights, cut back a little on duration, but keep the intensity up so you stay aerobic and the heart stays strong.

Yea. A little cardio never hurt anyone. It's best too add some in, so you can burn off some of the fat added to your stomach. No matter how hard you try, some fat will always be added while bulking. To cut down on your cutting time, just do a little cardio on days you aren't lifting.

I bulked a while ago. I went from 200 to 250. My diet included a lot fried chicken, pizza, protein, weght gainer, basically any meat i could get my hands on. I ate 8 meals a day.

I also recently cut a lot of weight. I went from 250 to 210. I ate 8 small meals a day, did a ton of cardio and never ate fatty foods. I always included vegetables in at least one of my meals, and I ate a lot of fat-free protein isolate shakes.

Whether you're cutting or bulking, you need to eat.

It's pretty simple...

If you want to bulk up, you have to increase your caloric intake. Simple as that. And like buddy above said, eat 8 meals a day, clean calories every two hours, protein supplements would help, wouldn't reccomend the fried chicken...

what about the weight training ? ive heard while bulking you should be lifting more at lower reps? so id say bout 6-10 on reps ?

I lift weights a lot even when im cutting. I would say after your warm up set 6-10 reps is okay whether you're bulking OR cutting.

I'd suggest keeping your diet VERY clean while bulking. This will allow you to put on clean/dry mass and will make cutting all the more easier.

Read to get a good idea of how to structure your diet while on a bulk.

I made the mistake of not eating clean when I was bulking. It made it 10x harder to cut.
