olyimpic style lifting numbers.

So... its bin 3 weeks since I started doing deadlifts and lift, clean and press.

Im very addicted, and im seeing improvments every workout.

I dont want this to get in to a competitive thread like that "what can you bench?" thread, but i'd like some comparisons for what I have been lifting.

I started with a DL of 140lbs
and a clean+press of 70lbs

Ive shot up thru the weight very quickly probable due to technique more than anything.

Now im deadlifting 220lbs
and clean+press 110lbs
based on 3/4 reps - not tryed 1RM yet cos I dont have drop mats.

I'd also like to know if its is normal to clean and press half of your deadlift?

I know for football we used clean+press to hit hard. explode . The better ur tech the more you should be able to lift. Thats probably why you exceled so fast. My clean+press less then my deadlift. I'm guessing but i think its safe to say that it should be alot lower then your deadlift becuase your basically suspose to toss the weight more then lift it. and if anyone can toss there deadlift then they can def deadlift more. :) lol

Dude, I understand that I was asking if my the ratio of my deadlift weight to clean and press rate should be 2:1. I can press half of my deadlift, I'd like to know if thats about right, or can most people lift more than half my press.

I juat wanted to know so I can spot weak point and sort them ou tin the early days.

sorry... just trying to point out that it most likly should inless your using more weight. My clean+press is about 145 and my deadlift is about 255. Thats a little under 2:1 but im sure you will find the higher weight u climb the less the ratio will fall.

Well, I've managed a 430 deadlift and a 210 clean. My push press is 205 max but I can jerk closer to the mid 200s. I haven't really worked much direct deadlift for awhile except one day a month or so ago and we worked (I think) up to 365 for around 6-8 reps or something like that.

I just started working the Oly lifts on a regular basis about six months ago or so...wish I had started a long time ago.
