too tired to diet

how much could eating less affect my overall mood...on the days where i eat plenty i feel somewat energetic and awake, and on days i try to diet, i feel unbelievably tired and feel that continuing the diet would be a waste, its like this everyday i try to diet, most of the time this is off of about 8 hours of sleep...so idk how to successfully diet with this depressing feeling of exhaution...
 
List what you are typically eating on a day you diet, and a day you don't so that we can make a more informed response. Thanks
 
days i diet i drink a protein shake in the morning (300 calories), go to school, and its after school when i feel tired and completely unmotivated to continue dieting, this is when i usually just feel like dieting is a waste and eatin a lot of food, like a sandwhich with turkey and cheese and a nice amount of mayo, a few potato chips, and some leftover pizza, all within an hour...in the morning i dont feel like eating at all, in fact whenever the thought of food comes up during school i dont want to eat unhealthy stuff, but its always after school when i am really tired and just feel like it doesnt matter wat i do today cuz i wont be able to keep it up tomorrow, also on the rare days i get through a full day on the diet, i eat too little calories (1300 or less) and feel very tired throughout the day...
 
Get used to eating breakfast.
And breakfast should be more than just a shake.
Don't worry about eating turkey sandwiches, not even with cheese but leave out those evil potatos!

Get some protein bars or low calorie energy bars. Snack on one between classes. I also argree with Spacehamster, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eat more than just a shake for breakfast.
 
you need nutrients

It sounds like you need to restore your body with lost nutrients from dieting. I've been taking an energy booster called Olay Daily Energy Pack.
