Your Motivations?

I was just wondering how you all keep motivated?

Like what keeps you going for so long, how do you stay on track long enough to lose these massive amounts of weight?

I always give into cravings and ruin my diet so I was just wondering how you get through it?

:)

Hey Cherrry - 3 things:

1. I always keep in mind how I want to look a month/2months/a year down the line. It's all about looking at the big picture before you put something, that you might regret, in your mouth.

2. Another thing that has kept me motivated is the 'Fear of starting ALL over again'. I don't think I want to go through all this from scratch ever again. Keep saying that to yourself!

3. I know people say that it's bad to weigh yourself too often but believe me the scale is one thing that won't ever lie to you so weigh yourself weekly for the first month or so and seeing the numbers go down will also keep you motivated!

That's it from me! I hope it helps a little! ALL the best! :)

I'm not attractive enough to make women want to touch my underpants region. Since I would really, REALLY like to have that happen, I'm using that as motivation to lose weight.

Just posted this in the 300 Club, seems appropriate for here...

"If I thought about my weight loss in terms of a single goal of losing 130 pounds I'd probably give up right now and order some pizza. lol.

I prefer to approach my weight loss by thinking about the many many goals I have planned for myself. I was able to identify over 30 separate goals one night when I took the time to type them all out, and I could probably come up with 30 more. They ranged from significant number goals (300, 250, 200, etc) to things like being able to zip up my old motorcycle jacket, being able to purchase pants at a normal store, being able to jog 2 miles non-stop, being able to wear certain sized clothing (3x, 2x, 1x, large, etc), starting and maintaining a cardio program, feeling comfortable going to out with friends... the list goes on and on bro.

What does losing the weight really mean to you? Chances are it means a thousand different things, and those things can be a thousand different goals. Take great pride in achieving each and every one of them and let each victory serve as motivation for the next.

That's my take on it anyway. :p"

Don't look at the finish line. It is to far ahead..If you are to busy looking for the finish line you will miss the race.

Take it in small steps. Accept the fact that this will take time, and rememebr the longest journey starts with the first step. Each step takes you that farther to your goal.

Take the baby steps and enjoy yourself. I have made a hobby our of exercise and trying to cook healthy foods. It has made this alot more fun.
