Young and looking to run

Hi I am 18 years old currently and looking for any advice gradually becoming a runner. I have been active all my life participating in various sports with football being my only sport during high school. I would like to get into running as a way to stay in shape. I haven't worked out since Febuary of this year. I can keep a good running pace and have treated my body well during this time of no exercise. Any tips on a good starting routine for the next few months. Nothing too crazy but something to get used to running. After that I would like to increase my running speed and distance. For now I just need a program that caters to a young fit person looking to start running.
 
Welcome! There is a section specifically for Running on here, did you check it out? Personally, I have found a training program from couch to 5K which is helpful to me. Depends on what your first goals are, how far you want to run, if you want to do intervals or not, etc. Good luck!
