You Give Me A Diet And I Will Follow It.

when i was 17 i used to be 5'6" and weight about 220 lbs.. and then after a lot of stuff.. i tried Atkins.. and it sucked... its not hard.. but it messed up my liver.. (atleast that is what i was told) and then I came on the "Liver Cleansing Diet". its pretty awesome.. its based off this book by this australian doctor.. and it worked for me.. i lost 50 lbs my first year ( i was a freshman in college, so despite all that eating out and partying) and then i lost a little more with that diet.. and then i wasn't "ashamed" of going to the gym... so i hit the gym.. and started walking then running.. and my liver functions are a lot healthier now..
so yea i think Liver Cleansing Diet is awesome..
its a 8 week strict program... and if you do it strictly you will have better results...

and you know you want to lose that weight before you get to university (if thats your plan) living in the dorms and with all the partying it is crazy trying to get anywhere and the gym is full of these well tones athletes and people... and i know people tell you it shouldn't matter... but it does man...

i just dont care about the other people at the gym, i just focus on what im doing, and getting maximum results but i know what you mean, seeing all the "cut" people is sort of imtimadating, not so much for me cause im like twice there size and have a faster punch than them not to mention stronger, cause i can put all my weight into it, thanks to martial arts.
 
yea well i did not have that advantage.. i hit the tread mill and i used to walk and try running on it while all these other people were running like mad.. it was quite intimidating.... and you are a freshman in college.. life is crazy as is..
 
Yeah im a sophmore in highschool..Im not selfconscience about my body or the gym becuase im not really fat I just want to be fit and in shape so I can feel better.Grammatron would you like to help me construct a nice diet to go by?You seem very informed and know what you are talkin about. I want to start this up Monday of next week becuase that is when i am gonna begin to lift weights again.I may not start my cardio until we get a treadmill or it gets warmer.I have a bit of asthma too will this be a concern?

if you want my advice just put what you eat in a normal day, and i will tell you what you should take out and what you should add, mind you im not a expert i just spend to much time on this forum

and archangelical i know what you mean i used to not run that well (combo of weight and crappy feet) but now i can sprint like mad and then job(HIIT)
 
Well, I usually dont eat breakfast.I do eat lunch everyday at school. It usually consists of 1 or 2 chocolate milks,a cheeseburger or chicken sandwich,some type of pudding or jello.I dont eat again till later around 6-7 at dinner and I dont eat much then.I just eat a small portion of what my mom cooks. I do relise I dont eat alot but when i do eat I dont eat the healhiest stuff. I do love fruits and veggies and meats. I hate peanut butter and any type of oil.I dont have much of a sweettooth, but I do occasionaly eat some type of sweet.

Should i do this?

Weightlifting : Mon,Wed,Fri
Cardio: Tues,Thurs,Sat or should I do cardio everday except Sunday and just use that as a rest day? Use this with conjunction with a healthy diet and i should start to shed fat?

Does cardio also help to get rid of love handles? I have read there is no such thing as spot training. Is there any certain thing I should do to get rid of love handles or will cardio do it?

you should seriously eat breakfast it is the most important meal of the day, it sets your metabolic rate for the day, then have 5 small meals after breakfast waiting so long between meals will slow your metabolism down and hinder your results, and truely you should be eating healthier, chocolate milks and hamburgers arent exactly what i would call healthy...

and yes cardio will help get ride of love handles, cardio, any excersise in fact removes fat from your entire body.
 
Alright will do, I think I have convinced my dad to add a treadmill to our gym. So I will have many different devices to help me on my way to being fit.Grammatron would you be intrested in helping me set up some type of menu for myself? Some things that are good to eat at certain times. I have seen the link with the vast amount of healthy foods I just dont know what food to eat together and when i should eat them.

Grammtron how does my scedule I have set look? Is there anything I need to change up? Should I keep records of how much i am lifting and my progress on the weight loss?
 
the only thing that i think are truely important to have is a complex carb(oatmeal is best) in the morning for breakfast and a source of casein proetin(cottage cheese) at night. thats all i do the rest of meals are what ever i feel like and are healthy.
