Hi everyone, I would just like to introduce myself. I am a 20 yr old student currently living in Vancouver, BC. Im a long time reader and first time poster. I never had an issue with my weight until I was around 16 and in my last year of highschool. My weight ranged from about 135-140 on a height of 5'5.5 which looked absolutely perfect on me, although I didn't seem to think so at the time. I decided to do a bunch of fad diets to get to my goal weight of 130. I did eventually reach that goal only to gain it right back and then some. By the time I graduated, I was 165 pounds. At the time, I didn't find it a big deal and never really concerned myself about the weight. That September, I went out of the country for about 6 weeks and by the time I returned home, I was back to 137. I maintained that for a few months but slowly started gaining to 145 to 155 to 165 and then to my alltime highest weight of 178 pounds! I was miserable and so self-conscious to the point where I did not even want to step outside my house. Those feelings have gotten worse and worse over the last year and a half. I decided to take this summer off because I was due for a much needed break and also wanted to use the time to lose weight without the added stress of exams. For the first month, I did absolutely nothing and my weight stayed intact. On july 16, I eventually started exercising and eating healthier and got down to 163-165 in a couple weeks. I havent lost anything for the last few weeks but thats mostly because I've been eating fast food and tons of bread. My goal is to get out of the 160's and perhaps even be 155 by September 4th. I've joined the August challenge and am hopeful that it will keep me on track. Ok so i'll stop now and hope I havent bored you. I also just wanted to add that Ive been keeping up with all the diaries and challenges over the last year and think you all are amazing and have had fabulous results. Anyways goodluck and thanks for reading!
