Hi everyone,

Anita here. I've been lurking around the forums for quite a long time, thought it was finally time to join.

In all my horror, I realized today that I no longer fit into my jeans, and it's on time I do something about my weight. I'm 171 cms tall, and I weigh 65 kgs. My goal is to lose 12-15 kgs (I'm not very bigboned, nor do I have a lot of muscle mass.. its all fat).

I unfortunately don't have the time to go to the gym as much as I want as I am a medical student, and my exams are approaching.

However, I figured out a way to exercise: I'll be going to the gym 2-3 times a week, on weekends when i don't have classes, and I'm going to leave my car at home and start biking to university.

This would mean that I would be biking 22 kms in total everyday, and my work out on gym days would be like this:

30 mins walk (with some running)
15 mins stepmaster
15 mins of those skiing machines
and some strength;
3 x 15 abs, back, chest.

Along with watching what I eat, is this sufficient to reach my goal guys? I would appreciate any corrections in this exercise programme..! Would I be able to shed those kgs within 6-7 months?

Wish me luck guys! =)

Welcome

Hello Anita, this is a great place to learn and I'm new here too. I've been at it for 11 months and have lost 53#. For me I only picked up pieces of the process as I could handle it. Too much change and harsh reality i guess.

You have a goal and that's great. You didn't mention your food. I started a food journal from day 1 but now I actually track how many cal i'm eating and total my days. That's turned the corner for me. Keep looking around here, so much great info. Welcome!
