Not only that but we sell a mountain of sweets, milkshakes and chocolates. Oh the temptation! It's like a childrens haven, but since seriously starting my dieting/exercise it's been like hell. I have to mentally slap myself everytime I think of nibbling. So I was wondering if anyone could suggest a healtheir alternative? that can be pre-prepared and still kick that sweet craving? What do you do when you get cravings like that?
I love my job, the regulars/co-workers are the most gorgeous people...it's just becoming some what like torture in the craving department! haha
thankyou in advance! :)

Wow! I can't imagine that, sounds really tough :p.

I suggest bringing fruits as a snack, I think the sugar from the fruits will help curve your craving and they are a much healthier option.

I'm not sure if you have "cheat days", but I would recommend having one once a week. Pick one treat a week from work that you've been wanting and indulge a little. You can make it better by either ordering half of the normal size or if you can't do that, right after you get it, throw half or some other portion of it away. I think working in a place like that, you'll need to give in here and there just to avoid a huge binge one day!

Hope this helped!

I worked in a Blimpie/ Tastee Freez combo place one summer. I consumed more superman ice cream that summer than I care to share. It was ridiculous. I'd suggest what was already suggested...healthy snacks from home.

Think about the end goal and how much the ice cream is going to inhibit your success. Whenever I look at junk food and I almost grab it, I try to visualize myself in a year if I follow ever gut instinct to grab a cheeseburger. I don't think this works for everyone because everyone is different, but I've never been skinny my whole life, so it really helps me.

How many hours do you work at your ice cream shop? If it's part time (4 hrs), just eat a huge healthy meal right before work and bring a lot of water with you. =D Fruit as backup won't kill either.

thanks guys! the advice is really helpful. And I work up to eight hours, however I had discovered a trick. If I get a sweet craving I chop up a banana and with a little bit of honey and coconut I hide it in the icecream freezer and have a lovely sweet craving buster when i'm hungry!
