does anyone know of any possible way to measure how many calories you've burned while following a work out video?
wear a heart rate monitor...
otherwise there's really no real precise way of knowing...
Does it make a difference?
omgosh, I thought that I had become fairly fit over the past year while losing 60 pounds. I do serious treadmill daily plus other stuff, but HOLY MOLY did he kick my butt! I don't think I will even be able to do it every day, but I will aim for a few times per week in addition to my regular workouts. Ouch! My abs are still sore!!!
I'd say it doesn't matter too much.
Yea, calories in vs. out are the predominant factor.
Pick a caloric intake and a sane amount of exercise.
Track your progress.
If progress is lacking or coming too quickly, adjust your intake or exercise accordingly.
Sounds like you're winging it but far too many people get caught up in the numbers of it all when all they should be paying attention to is their progress.
