Silly question but...
I find that my best, most productive days are my active days. I need to workout in the morning to wake up (pilates, going for a 2 or 3 mile run)...do my daily activities, going to class, and then workout at night to wind down with a more complete workout (such as free weights, machines at the gym, and a longer cardio session).
It's really not reasonable (or necessary) for me to do this everyday, especially last semester with having class from 8 am scattered around through 9:30 at night. In fact my active time suffered a lot. However this semester, I have crafted my schedule to suit a better lifestyle and three or four days I'm able to have time for a morning and evening workout.
Now getting to the question...are there any downsides to working out a few hours twice a day three or four times a week or other things to consider? What are the best kinds of foods to eat when working out a lot? I'd probably be running around 6 or 7 miles those days (I've been running for awhile...I'm not just jumping in there doing that much)...as well as pilates and some weights. I'd also workout on the other days but just once.
I'm not just doing it to you know work out a lot. I don't have a lot of weight to lose, and I'm a pretty healthy 18 year old college student. However I just find that my mind works way better when I'm using up my energy.
Sorry to be long-winded. Any input would be appreciated.
