working away, working out

well im about to embark on a serious fitness programme tomorro and what to keep it as a part of my life not just a 5 month fix or whatever. I recently got a job as a marine engineer, which means i could be working at sea for 3 to 4 months at a time and this could effect my workout as meals are made according to the nationality of the majority of the ship meaning i could be having traditional meals from all over the world without knowing anything of the calorie intake etc. also this coupled with the cramped life onboard a ship theres limited number of workout options. anyone recomend anything such as meal bars i can take etc. anything you think will be helpful

I am pretty baised to power crunch bars (the best of the mass produced bars to date IMO) and cocochia (taste like almond joy and are the most filling bars I've had. They are more expensive and have better quality with ingredients.) Whatever you choose, order your bars online so you don't get blasted with ridiculous price mark ups.
