Work Out Songs?

I love working out to Bif Naked - I love myself today. I find it very motivating.

I guess it was written more for someone that has just lost her boyfriend but whenever I hear these lyrics

"I've had enough, made up my mind
I'm gonna get up and out and wahhh!

I love myself today
Not like yesterday
I'm cool, I'm calm
I'm gonna be okay! Uh huh
I love myself today
Not like yesterday
Take another look at me now
'Cause it's your last look
Your last look forever"

All I can think is it's your last look at my fat butt, cause I look good now!

I like harder fast music, because when my I ride my bike I need something to keep up with, if that makes since. Anything with a double bass drum:::

System of a Down
Otep
Muse
Fear Factory
and any 80's music!

my essentials

Brandtson
AAR
Decemberist
Jimmy Eat World
Actually, death cab...

thats my latest.

I like any upbeat trance best. Everysong has some inspiration and a peak so it keeps your legs moving fast.

you should check out the podrunner podcast on fitPod (see my signature). it's trance-y, and the dj gives the average beats per minute for each mix. that way you can match it to your pace. they post a new one every week.

I must have old tastes... but.. I love old rock music with a good beat... like some ACDC, Twisted Sister, Foreigner and Journey.. But one song I really got addicted to.. (beat is awesome) is The Bad Touch by the Bloodhound Gang. Also some good songs for running are some of the Black Eyed Peas songs.. very fast and upbeat. I generally perfer the older stuff (Come on Feel the Noise by Quiet Riot and We're Not Going to Take it by Twisted Sister are like theme songs for me.. :D )

Music is the key to happy exercise.. and tv.. if the gym has a tv.. woohoo!

good music!

brandtson "nobody dances anymore" --such a perfect beat, not too fast, not slow, great motivator!!!!!!!!!

Oooh Workout music!

I would definately reccomend the band 'Japan' to anyone... Either "Quiet Life" "Gentlemen Take Polaroids" or "Tin Drum" If you're into new wave, or "Adolescent Sex" and "Obscure Alternatives" If you like Glam Rock/Punk, plus those albums have really great beats and all of the albums have excellent bass lines. If you really want something that you can dance to, I would reccomend the last 2 albums I mentioned.

If you like Prog Rock/Metal/Soft Rock another good band is 'Porcupine Tree' I'd say "Stupid Dream" "In Absentia" and "Deadwing"

If you're in the mood for deep music try David Sylvian. "Secrets of the Beehive" "Gone to Earth" or "Brilliant Trees" That music just kind of takes me away to a dreamland when I'm huffing and puffing on the treadmill.

I love listening to that when I work out anyway! Give it a try if it interests you.

ANYTHING 80's! My Curves has one of the greatest 80's compilation cds, I LOVE it. The 80's were great, the music was fun and upbeat...it keeps me going. On that same note though, Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics is good too. I often dance to it as I clean my kitchen! :p
