Music to get you moving

Hey guys, I'm redoing my work out music on my ipod, and looking for suggestions of songs/bands that help get you moving!!! I use it during cardio generally....

Heehee, I doubt you've ever heard of them, it's an old Japanese duo, but they were called "Cibo Matto" and they have some funny songs that I light to walk/exercise to. The funniness keeps me entertained while I walk or exercise! Other than that, I like to listen to Fiona Apple because her music is angry and it lets me get my emotions out. I like angry music. I'll pretty much listen to anything with a fast beat! And I *love* to SING!

Music to work-out

Well, if its me its fast pace hard rock, scorpions, lynyrd skynyrd, judas priest. ect. ect. the louder and faster the better, really gets me fired up.

There's actually a thread already started in the Off Topic forum (way at the bottom of the list, so you could've easily missed it!) that you might want to browse through for some suggestions:

Personally, I like some good Rammstein, Metallica, and if I'm feeling silly, Queen, but I listen to just about anything with a good beat for exercising too.

I'm a huge techno freak, I find that crazy bouncy stuff works, I listen to my ipod while I run as well... it passes the time and keeps me motivated.

I find that stuff I can sing to as well, like anything works too because it keeps my mind occupied as well... ^_^

Center Stage

My favorite CD to workout to is the Center Stage soundtrack. It has a couple of slow songs, but I ordered them on my ipod so that i use them at the end for cool down. Here are the songs that are on it:

Mandy Moore - I Wanna Be With You Jamiroquai - Canned Heat
Michael Jackson - The Way You Make Me Feel P.Y.T. - We're Dancing
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Higher Ground Ruff Endz - If I Was the One
Jill Scott - Lovely Day Elvis Crespo/Gizelle - Come Baby Come
Ashley Ballard - Don't Get Lost in the Crowd International Five - First Kiss
Cyrena - Get Used to This P.Y.T. - A Girl Can Dream
Jamiroquai - Cosmic Girl Thunderbugs - Friends Forever

I love working out with great music on my MP3 player.. I know that a lot of people use music during their workouts, and I thought this would be a good place for everyone to pitch in their favorite "motivation" music!!

1- Scissor Sisters- Filthy, Gorgeous
2- Scissor Sisters- Comfortably Numb
3- Muse- Time is Running Out
4- Gorillaz- Dare
5- Clutch- Careful with that Mic
6- Dr. John- Right Place, Wrong Time
7- Local H- Cha! Said the Kitty
8- Ludacris- What's your Fantasy
9- Garbage- Cherry Lips
10- Local H- Toxic

Hope to hear back from a bunch of you about whats great to listen to!!:D

my new favorite to stretch too after a nice long run is

Michael Buble - Feelin' Good

It's kind of old and jazzy sounding... but it also almost has a kickline beat = slow steady pace that is fantastic for stretching... plus, it makes me feel sexy =)

I like anything with a good beat to it, like,
Billy Joel-We didnt start the fire
any daft punk (techno)
Chumba wumba- get knocked down
Hedley-Sugar free
I have varied taste, lol, but anything that gets me moving is great :)

The Rocky Soundtrack songs. Especially Eye of the Tiger. That really pumps me up, and it also has a good beat rate for running or even weight lifting.

Eye of the tiger rules!! lol

I like a bit of punk/rock music to get me all grrrr for my run.

"The middle" by jimmy eat world makes me push myself when it comes on.

Ooooh, I love making workout tapes (CD's now)!
There's the Grid (old, but oooo you just don't stop), B 52's, some Shakira (hips and lies...) Rammstein, Rob Zombie, Prodigy, and Technotronic (well, sorry, but it's effective)!
I can't find the Grid Cd, was called 'Evolver' I think. Anyway, happy jumping! : )

I personally like Tim McGraw's "How Bad Do You Want It" very motivational. It's a good song with a great beat. Anything with a good beat (that's NOT rap for me at least) I like. :D

I like any upbeat trance best. Everysong has some inspiration and a peak so it keeps your legs moving fast.
