Hello,
I decided to set the goal to lose 30-33 pds. until June. (my english is not great so pretty please bear with me)
I kept a strict diet-thing for like five days (I haven't weighed bc I have to buy a new scale) to see if I can resist, and it was freaking hard BUT I CAN. What I consumed were salads (tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, bell pepper, lemon), canned fish (which is yummy), canned pineapple, low-calories yogurt, breast chicken, egg whites & COLD water (sometimes made lemonade sweetened with saccharin, BTW everyone on the internet says saccharin is the worst BUT it kind of made my days giving me the chance to sweeten my coffee/lemonade, gave me "hope").
I know that for my weight and height I should fit into 1000-1300 calories per day.
What I noticed during those five days, is that I felt weak and almost always hungry (which never happened to me before). I must admit that I never had fixed meals and I do not like 80% of veggies - THE TASTE, I could basically puke if I don't like it & force myself to eat... that's a bad thing, I could eat lots of veggies instead of limiting my food choices.
I am thinking to re-start that "diet" but allow myself to cheat and fit into 1300 calories, or LESS. Not give up on saccharin and start working out (HIIT, Cardio, Weights lift etc. + yes, at home). BUT, I do not know if I'll reach my goal like that :(... and yes, I know the best effective weight loss happens IN TIME not that fast... but I want so bad to do it until then (I'll go on vacation in my homeland, and I want to prove some people I CAN and finally enjoy summer more than usual). I am sorry if I sound funny, do I dream too big? Maybe... but I won't starve myself to catch it... nah. I just don't know what's best to reach my goal in three months.

Hello lovely, glad you posted here like I suggested. You'll have a warm welcome from our regular members and some good advice hopefully. You posted on your last thread that you are 5'0 ish and around 139lbs which doesn't make you massively overweight actually.. is 30lbs a reasonable goal do you think?

I'm sure others will have better ideas than me but I would recommend posting your food on here for a few days and getting some feedback. Lots of people will have their own views on saccharin but I use it in coffee and prefer it to sugar - I like that it isn't any calories although know it still isn't very good for me. You shouldn't be eating so little that you feel weak - what veggies do you like if you dislike 80%? What about fruits? You should not be eating under 1200 calories in my opinion.. 1000 is way too low.

HIIT at home is a great idea, any exercise will help you along your way! I've lost 15lbs in two months which has been quite slow and doable for me but I am much taller than you and was 30lbs overweight and 30lbs lost would put you right at the lower end weight for your height I think.. see what others think as well.

Anyway, welcome and hope you get lots of support here :D

Hello (I am not sure, I am more 4'11'' than 5'0'' I think).

On the internet, it says the perfect weight for a 4'11''-5'0'' girl is 100lbs but I'd be incredibly happy to reach 110lbs. So yes, losing 30lbs would be perfect in such a short period of time. Well, I am happy to read you're using saccharin too... it was the only thing that made me happy during those days (I've put it in coffee, lemonade and green tea). A thing I should change is maybe the milk I'll put in coffee.
I don't think I should post what I'll eat, because I don't think I'll make the best choices. Well, the only veggies I like are: cabbage, tomatoes & cucumbers (I could eat peppers tho', even if I don't really like em). Well, fruits I like many... but they're not good when it comes to losing weight right? (only grape, avocados, lemon/lime & green apples?!). Well, I don't think I could pass 1200 calories anyway eating just salads, fish, low-calories yogurt, breast chicken & egg whites. You see, I don't know if I should post here what I'll eat since my food choices will be very limited and nothing special.

I plan to start working out, but I am not sure if I'll do it. I am not used with sport at all.
Thank you a lot for each advice! :)

p.s. I'll start this "diet" again on Wednesday and hopefully I won't stop till June.

If you don't feel comfortable posting your food, that's ok but a food list does help others give you suggestions for changes that may improve your weight loss.

Hi S96. I'm sorry I have been slow welcoming you to the forum. It is a very friendly place & very supportive. We all want to lose weight really quickly, but if you don't change your habits in the long term then you may lose the weight only to have it come back again.
I must admit I have trouble understanding how anyone can not like vegetables. Do you try many raw? I love raw carrots, celery, snow peas, tomatoes..... You may have had overcooked vegetables that have put you off them. Try experimenting a little. Baked vegetables are delicious. We bake them on baking paper on a tray in the oven, with just a little olive oil- mushrooms, carrots, pumpkin or sweet potato, zucchini.......Many vegetables are best just blanched, like broccoli & fresh asparagus. Make sure you don't reduce your calories by too much. I think 1200 cals should be the absolute minimum & more if you exercise. Eating a whole egg, with the yolk, will provide your body with more protein & be a lot more filling. I love fruit & would never go a day without eating it. Look up low GI fruit. Berries are delicious & low in calories.
I had better get moving. Once again, welcome :)

Hello. It's okay, thanks for welcoming me now ;). I know how bad that would if I'd go back to my habits after losing weight, that's something I will take care of.
Well, if I think better I like raw carrots too haha. I just don't like many vegetables, cooked either... that's sad cuz I would be "saved", I'd eat lots of vegetables for sure & try many recipes. I already said in my head I'll eat omelet without yolk tommorow, but you changed my mind...so I'll just leave the yolk there. I love fruits too, I'll take a look on low GI fruits and make sure to buy some.
Thank you for helping :)

how to lose weight with apple cider vinegar:

Given that vinegar lowers blood sugar and insulin levels, it makes sense that it could help you lose weight.

Several human studies suggest that vinegar can increase satiety, help you eat fewer calories and even lead to actual pounds lost on the scale.

Vinegar along with high-carb meals can increase feelings of fullness and make people eat 200-275 fewer calories for the rest of the day (16, 17).

By reducing calorie intake, this should translate to reduced weight over time.

A study in obese individuals showed that daily vinegar consumption led to reduced belly fat, waist circumference, lower blood triglycerides and weight loss (18):

15mL (1 tablespoon): Lost 2.6 pounds, or 1.2 kilograms.

30mL (2 tablespoons): Lost 3.7 pounds, or 1.7 kilograms.

However… keep in mind that this study went on for 12 weeks, so the true effects on body weight seem to be rather modest.

That being said, just adding/subtracting single foods or ingredients rarely has a noticeable effect on weight.

It’s the entire diet/lifestyle that counts… you need to combine several effective methods to see results.

Overall, it seems like apple cider vinegar may be useful as a weight loss aid, mainly by promoting satiety and lowering glucose and insulin levels.

But it won’t work any miracles on its own.

Bottom Line: Studies suggest that vinegar can increase feelings of fullness and help people eat fewer calories, which can lead to weight loss.

Side Effects, Dosage and How to Use it :

There are a lot of wild claims about apple cider vinegar on the internet.

Some say that it can increase energy levels and have all sorts of beneficial effects on health.

Unfortunately… many of these claims are not supported by science.

Of course, absence of proof isn’t proof that something isn’t happening and anecdote often ends up becoming supported by science down the line.

That being said, I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for more studies, since research on natural health products like these are both few and far between.

From the little evidence available, I think that apple cider vinegar may be useful and is definitely a good candidate for some self-experimentation if you’re interested in it.

At the very least, apple cider vinegar seems to be safe. There are no side effects noted with normal consumption.

The best way to incorporate it into your diet is to use it in your cooking… for salad dressings, homemade mayonnaise and that sort of thing.

Some people also like to dilute it in water and drink it as a beverage. Common dosages range from 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 mL) to 1-2 tablespoons (15-30 mL) per day.

Definitely don’t go above that, because excess consumption may have harmful effects.

It is also possible to take it in pill/tablet form, but I don’t recommend that because a 2005 study showed that the true vinegar content of these supplements was highly questionable (33).

There is also a report of a woman having an apple cider vinegar tablet stuck in her throat, which led to esophageal burns.

It is recommended to use organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar with the “mother.” Bragg’s is by far the most popular option.

Apple cider vinegar also has various other non-health related uses like hair conditioning, skin care, dental care, pet use and as a cleaning agent (to name a few).

These can be highly useful for people who like to keep things as natural and chemical-free as possible.

At the end of the day, apple cider vinegar appears to be very healthy.

It’s not a “miracle” or a “cure-all” like some people seem to believe, but it does clearly have some important health benefits, especially for blood sugar and weight control.

I'd like to get more opinions on three things:
-apple cider vinegar
-hot/warm water & half a lemon (I'll try it)
-green tea (this one too, I just don't know how many times should I drink per day)

Hey Shorty - EmilyRose on here has tried the apple cider vinegar - she may be a good one to ask. Her diary is on here somewhere. Water of any kind is going to be good for weight loss so can't see any issue with hot/warm water and lemon. I love green tea and drink it often - I've noticed no impact on my weight but my skin tends to be better and I feel less bloated when I drink it.
