Wii

Is anyone doing the Wii Fit? My daughter got it for Christmas and I am addicted! She wonders if Santa brought it for her or me.... hehe. I have been doing the Yoga every morning. If you go through each one, it totals 30 minutes. I have noticed how much better I feel. I have been going to the gym too, and trying to be able to jog. After doing the eliptical for many months because I couldnt jog not even a minute, I have worked up to jogging 25 minutes. WOOT WOOT!

Any other Wii Fit games that you recommend?? We have the basic sports game with tennis, golf, bowling. And now the Wii Fit bundle. Any other good ones that you have and would recommend?

Thanks!

I so want a Wii Fit! I have the Wii but we only have the Wii Sports...and even that I don't get to play that often because I'm so busy. :(

But the boxing, upto a certain level, anyway, makes you sweat! My arms hurt afterwards. :) The tennis is fun!

Wow, I have had Wii Fit since it came out and have used it about four times. I started my weight loss journey one week ago, have been working out after work. I've been wanting to throw in a twenty or thirty minute work out in the mornings before work, but didn't want to drive to the gym so early so I'll definitely start incorporating the Wii Fit into my schedule.

Gawsh, been so busy I totally forgot I had the game buried in my closet. Out in comes! Thanks for the reminder.

It's ridiculous how fun it is, right?

I love my Wii Fit! I generally do the hula hooping and step exercises! For Christmas I just got a new game that also uses the balance board, that Jillian Michaels work out game from The Biggest Loser. It's not *fun* like Wii Fit, but it has lots of neat tips you can un-lock after sweating way too much!

There are going to be many more games using the balance board released this year, it'll be neat to see what they come up with next!! :biggrinjester:

Wii fit IS my workout plan. I've been doing it for almost 3 months minus a few weeks here and there ive taken off due to different circumstances. I've never had any resourses available to me previous to it. so far it's working out for me. On weekdays I do 30 minutes of step first thing in the morning but i do it to fast paced music because i prefer the faster pace and it works me out better. then in the after noon i do 30 minutes of combined yoga poses and strength training then another 30 minutes of step. I also walk 20 minutes every day just getting my daughter to anf from school. i also plan to add some running soon when i get my treadmill but wii has been an amazing start to my new journey!
I think i'll check out that biggest loser game mentioned. maybe it will be good for some variety in my routine!

Wii Fit is great to a point. It gets your tail off of the couch and moving. After a couple of months, you'll see a need to move on. We did and have started to equip the house with a gym and added some more equipment such as a set of adjustable dumbbells and an incline and decline bench to use them on. In March we are going to add a gym grade elliptical.

You really have to work at the Wii games to get your heart rate anywhere close to the "Zone" it needs to be in. Jillian Michaels "game" is much more intense than Wii Fit and does keep your heart rate up where it needs to be.

At home what we've had the best luck with is the BootCamp Biggest Loser DVD. It helps you do a good warmup and keeps your heart rate up through out the whole work out. Mines stays right at the top of the 80% zone for about 30 minutes and burns calories the whole time. They have also incorporated weights ( dumbbells) into the program, which is something that the Wii programs don't do.

I love my Wii Fit!

I've been a little slack with it over the Christmas period but now I'm back in the swing of things.

My favourites are all the step aerobics, the jogging, the hula-hooping, and some of the muscle and yoga workouts.

love my Wii fit :) I got it for christmas and have unlocked everything possible so I use it as much as I can. Yeah, it doesnt get my heart rate up as much as the gym could or a nice run would...but its something and I love how it keeps track of my weight for me :) I hula-hoop and box the most. I find the step wayyyy too slow...maybe I'll get the jillian workout and try that! I'm horrible at yoga and I've found that the wii fit def. helped me w/ my yoga b/c it knew when I was balancing correctly (for the most part) so thats neat and helpful. I'll continue using my wii fit but it wont be my only means of excercise.

Hmmm.. I wonder if I should get the Wii just for my weight loss or not.
I have the dance dance revolution. I worked out with that one hour a day and I already got the result of weight loss. But it's getting boring...

I wonder how long I play the wii fit and would be more intensive than the dance dance game?

Anyone has both and can give me some advices if I should buy it or not?
