it is true that healthy food can be expensive but there is ways to eat healthy on a budget. First i highly recommend buying a Sams club, or Cosco membership, trust me it more than pays for itself in just a few months. Even regular grocery stores have some bulk options. You can buy 14 chicken breast at a time at my local food lion for 15 bucks. The more you buy at a time the cheaper it is. Just throw what you don't need in the freezer.
Try to buy things with large protein per serving like fish, alot is cheap, give massive protein and also freezes well. Granted something like Salmon isn't so cheap but I get alot of Mahi that may lack good fat but then i good my good fats from nuts or flax oil. And even stuff like crab meat (not imitation) maybe a lil more expensive but since it just all protein you don't have to eat as much as say any sort of beef product.
You can also find alot of coupons online or even shop online. I buy all my whey powder in bulk online and save a good 30 bucks than if i would have bought it in a store in person.
Frozen veggies and fruit may lack a lil bit of nutrional value as fresh, however it saves my wallet so i go for it. Just make sure its just veggies/fruit only and no syrups of creams in there.
These are just some ideas/pointers but just get creative, buy in bulk, maybe even buy an extra freezer and you can find ways to eat healthy on a budget.
